This is what I love about college sports. MSU does the same as I’m sure most teams do. I loved watching videos of our players going room to room at a childrens hospital and making them smile for a day. Many of the kids were living on borrowed time. Good post.

I don’t care what team it was just putting a smile on kid’s face like that is awesome. I hope college athletes realize just saying hi to them and interacting with them can do so much for somebody like him.

Totally agree. I can remember some of our players saying it changed them for ever. Stuff like “Sometimes I think about where I came from, practice in the heat, trying to keep up with classwork etc, then I see these kids and how strong they are will life threatening illnesses and I think ‘man, I don’t have it so bad’.
Again, thanks for posting and I know O is a good man. I read the story about his wife’s illness and yoi know that impacted him bigtime.

I've been following this story from the beginning. Awesome how Coach O and the team rolled out the red carpet for Colton. I enjoy posts like these so much more than the regular trolling threads. No matter the team.

I have too. He's been sick, on breathing treatments since he got back. Hoping he gets to go back to school today. Tracking him through the "Geaux Colton" page on Facebook. Found out his size in clothing if anyone is interested in sending him LSU gear for Christmas, birthdays, etc.

I know he has the helmet and jersey and would love to send him the pants. I used to have the LSU football uniform as a kid and wore it everyday when I got home from school lol.
