Before unleashing his scorched earth campaign on the South, William Tecumseh Sherman was superintendent of LSU. He developed the idea of total war, not just destroying the army of the south, but destroying everyone and everything in the south. His troops burned down the University of Alabama and University of South Carolina.
It appears the SEC is about to repay the favor by borrowing from his tactics and torching LSU.
