I can't wait to see how the vote goes this year. It will be interesting to see if Alleva/Miles were able to sway a few more SEC AD's over to their side

Dont the presidents' vote overide the AD's?

I may be proved wrong, but I think the conference C.G. will be looked at as part of the playoff system; lose and you are out of the playoffs if there are four conference champs with superior or equal loss records.

SEC whining about tougher SEC schedules will be treated similar to the SEC fans reaction to LSU's complaints about their tougher schedule: Stop whining you bunch of SEC sissy-crybabies. That goes double for the LSU sissy fans.

The way I understand it, the AD's are the President's representatives. And the the normal course is that the AD is allowed to make their best decision and the President signing off is only a formality.

IDK?

I'm just curious to see if after all of the petitioning by Alleva/Miles, if they were able to swing a few more votes their way.

I just seem to recall recent past where the AD's and coaches voted one way, then the Presidents voted another and had the final say. I may be wrong

Why should LSU keep all that fun from the Bama fans? It's just not fair.

That would be right. As I said the normal course is Presidential approval of AD decision is a formality. Sounds like you are recalling a rare exception...remember anything about the specific issue at hand?

We've played Florida 4 times in the last 6 years since Saban's been here. Only lost once

The NFL will never compare to the pageantry of College Football because it isn't as intense, it doesn't have the traditions. Anyone who says "frick the rivalries" isn't a real CFB fan

I love CFB but the NFL is way more popular. Lots of people in the north don't view CFB the way we do in the south. CFB popularity is regional where as the NFL has popularity across the country.

It didn't. We were the best team in the country, we shouldn't have to win a division to prove it, and we shouldn't be punished for slipping up once. The best two teams should always play for the national title.

I agree the best 2 teams should play for a title. And Bama/LSU were clearly the best 2 teams in 2011. I just found it amusing that the year ya'll weren't in the conference title game, Saban made it a point to say that it shouldn't matter if you won the division or not. But then last year, he said how you should have to win your division to play for a title. it's not a bad thing, he will do anything for the good of his program and that's why he is great. people seem to listen to him as well where as they just kind of laugh at miles bc he never really says anything while talking a lot. Gotta love the guy.

That's not what he said/meant. I remember what you're talking about, and I also remember everyone misinterpreting whatever he said.

What I have a problem with is teams like Bama playing shite schedules because their cross rival is a dumpster fire.

Our cross division rival won't always be bad, and they're historically much better than they are now. There will be a time when UT is good and UF is bad, and we won't be complaining. It seems like you're specifically asking for schedules to be fixed so that Bama has to play an equal or tougher schedule than LSU, and like I said before, there are 12 other teams in the SEC that have to schedule games too.

Saban would've had a stroke if that happened to ya'll. Saban would never have allowed that to happen. We would have been playing Ok St.

in all seriousness though, that's probably true. Being king has its perks, can't argue that.

Even if he meant it exactly the way it was interpreted I have no problem with that. Who would?! He was lobbying for his team, who cares how you look to the outsiders. They're not paying you anyway.

not sure if serious. CFB has way more fans than NFL

yes they do, there just happen to be more NFL franchises in the north, but there is also a significantly larger population

if by regional you mean more regions then yes CFB is regional.

CFB has more fans, attendance, games, teams, money, etc...

I have an issue with quoting people without quoting them. There's a name for it.
