One of these is eventually going to make it to court, the contract won’t hold up, and we’ll be back to total chaos.
I think we didn’t want to take the risk. LSU played it safe here, but the court scenario will eventually play out with a non-QB transfer & these Rev share contracts will be proven to have no teeth. Just a matter of time.
For the record, I don’t like it — but these cases always go the players’ way.
The player called uncle, but I don't think a student's transfer rights should be something that is negotiable. I've always believed student athletes should have the same rights and responsibilities as any student of a university, which includes the right to transfer.

I think it is understandable to hold a student being paid $4 million dollars per year to go to Washington to a little different standard than the student paying to go to school.

But any other student isn’t being paid millions of dollars for being there.

He stayed because they threatened to force him to pay the entirety of the contract as a penalty.
He got shafted by a corrupt agent with massive conflict of interest issues representing his coach as well.
In the end, it doesn’t validate anything other than kids should avoid signing anything early for a big ten school.

Great CBS Article
He had two options: go back to Washington (and his 4.7 million dollar contract) or go to Supreme Court.
The LSU Twitter lawyers were stumped! Too little too late but this is a win for CFB nevertheless.
Hopefully Angel Reese U is now done trying to screw up football.
