At the end of the day 95% of the negative fan stories about opposing venues are bullshite. LSU has a disproportionate number of night games which probably produces a more inebriated crowd and has a higher percentage of the fanbase that didn’t actually go there compared to many other programs (and these are fans less likely to be cordial compared to graduates). So, PERHAPS, there is a little more truth to some of the stories from Death Valley but having been there it’s still mostly horseshite IMO. They’re loud and drunk and curse a lot, but I’ve never seen anything there in two trips that was any more “dangerous” or uncomfortable than at most other venues.
I still maintain Lubbock is the only place I’ve been that truly lives up to the hype. They are vile and you are very likely to have things thrown at/on you at a minimum.
