randomways, you are a good guy with genuinely interesting opinions about many SEC topics. As a Vandy fan you occupy a space that is a second party perspective in a way, which gives you an angle no other SEC fan has. Also your posts are fairly intelligent, which I appreciate on a personal level. Given all this I have a little hint for you I worked out years ago: If any paragraph has more than three sentences in it, LSU fans won't read it. Especially it you abstain from using emoticons or pictures and you stray towards preponderant words. I call this phenomenon the LSU fan filter. At first it seems annoying because this is an LSU forum you would think that such a restriction would block intelligent communication. Yet that is not the case, in fact it is actually a blessing because you can use the filter to communicate directly to fans of fellow SEC fans about issues and concepts that LSU fans would use as troll bait. I have successfully done this many times on this very forum, and I hope you can also benefit from this knowledge.

WTF is this crap? LSU schedules some of the toughest OOC opponents in the SEC.

His spelling and grammar are fine. He just needs to add a couple commas and semicolons.
The real question here is "Are you an LSU fan?" Please answer honestly; it's for science.

Hey I learned something in this thread: LSU got a partial victory!

I think y'all have a distorted view of reality when it comes to the three LSU/A&M games that have recently been played.
The outcomes have taken on a life of their own.

The scheduling bullshite has been well documented in the media and even admitted by Bama sports writers. Bama always tried to give itself any advantage it can from alumni setting the schedules and bowl match ups to hiring alumni as officials to make key call in the season. It was worse when Bear was alive but at least he was nice about it and didn't frick you every year. They are just as bad as Texas except they share the money.
LINK
But as long as everyone else puts up with all the bullshite there is really little we can do about.
Auburn gets screwed a lot and bitches too but is powerless little brother
UK doesn't care as long as they don't frick with basketball
MSU and Ole Miss just happy they are not in the MAC
Vandy doesn't care just glad they are not bama's extra league game anymore
UGA goes along with Bama as they have gotten easiest schedule in the East most years
Florida threatened to leave in the 90s but have have been quiet ever since
USCe bitched about it when they had to play 4 top 25 teams in a row and UGA 1 (Guess who won the EAST that year)
Tennessee is in shambles and just trying to fix its own house
Missouri and A&M have no clue yet

Good lord. I was going to applaud you for a funny, if somewhat unfair, jab at the LSU fans here, but then I went back a page and saw WildTchoupitoulas' reply to me. Now I'm in a conundrum, a bind, if you will. Do I defend the honor of non-WildTchoupitoulas LSU fans, or do I just assume that WildTchoupitoulas (yes, I'm cutting and pasting the name every time) is representative, sui generis, of the entire fanbase? It's a puzzlement, but not one I need to resolve right now because I'm taking your advice to see if it holds true across multiple posts. After all, much like the white raven thought experiment, more data means greater confirmation. It's possible that you were confusing correlation with causation, after all, so I'm going to do the responsible thing and test it for myself. Now I will just type some random words and see if anyone notices: paraplegic; cabinet; somnambulist; porcine; corn dog; imbroglio; antelope; fifty-yard line; piss balloon; Go 'Dores; demimonde; LSU is not Big Six-worthy; and last, but not least, Cocoa Puffs.

Except we don't play cupcake schedules. LSU doesn't want an easier schedule, it wants a fair schedule.
LSU wants all of it's rivals to play about the same schedule in terms of difficulty. That hasn't happened in the past.
Just last year, Georgia was switched off of Alabama's schedule and replaced with Kentucky. Georgia then replaced Kentucky on LSU's schedule.
LSU wants to play everyone in the conference. We travel well, and we enjoy visiting each team's locations. As it is, we may not play UGA for another 12 years.
Even if our positions were reversed and LSU had played a down Tennessee every year like we've played Florida, we'd still want a nine game schedule.
OOC, we play as tough a schedule as anyone in the country. And we win them all. LSU owns the longest OOC winning streak in the country during the regular season.
We don't want or need easy. We do want fairness.

Wait, I thought y'all wanted an 8 game schedule without a perm rival (6-2) and not a nine game SEC schedule?

and that was complete bullshite about Satan saying he wanted a 9 SEC game season. That was when he knew it had zero chance.

the shite is over with anyway, as soon as we go to a 8 game playoff this will hopefully be moot

Sounds alot like the distorted view you guys had in the 90's when ya'll were ranked nationally and we were the doormat of the SEC, lucky to beat Vandy and Kentucky in the same season.

Saban wanted that because he is a steward of the sport! He knew that a 9 game schedule would be the best long-term solution to bring about a more unified SEC while still respecting long-standing traditions.
But just like LSU fans, he didn't get everything he wanted either...
