But since this is all about tradition and keeping things as they were or are then LSU should be able to have every home game at night
I for one am all for this... if it will make these schedule threads stop.
Besides it has worked out for us pretty well in the past.

I'm really not sure why you seem to think Alabama has an insurmountable lead as a program over LSU. Bama is the king of football right now but they really have been a whisper away from the roles being reversed with LSU. This idea that Bama is pushing LSU into a hole that has them turning into the new Kentucky of the SEC is a bit ridiculous.

Saban built you up then used alabama to destroy you
It really is laughable if you honestly believe that LSU is not a viable a very much alive program. Saban is great but lets not forget that LSU is a national brand now as well. The program is hardly destroyed.

I recommend that the SEC does away with allowing LSU to wear white at their home games. Other teams can't do it. It's very unfair.
Screw the tradition with other SEC teams, then screw the tradition with all SEC teams.
Screw the tradition with other SEC teams, then screw the tradition with all SEC teams.

Well since that is a NCAA re and not a SEC one I guess you are advocating for the NCAA to create the SEC schedules
Ok
Eta: and any team can choose to wear white at home, it's not just for LSU

Please explain your idiotic rambling on this. 1 year is a big enough gap for Auburn to bitch about Georgia more than LSU bitching about FLA but that same amount of one year is neck and neck for Tennessee and FLA?
My point is that LSU has no standing to bitch no matter which way you look at it.
If you say that 1 year makes a difference, LSU fans are sounding like bitches because Auburn fans don't whine but arguably have a tougher go of it having to play UGA.
If you say that 1 year doesn't make a difference, LSU fans are sounding like bitches because Bama plays UT with 2 east championships in that time frame and there's no discernible difference.

You must be blind then
GA/AU have played more than any other teams in the SEC....they are hooked on that game like a baby to the teet....of course they care more about keeping that game than we are to play FL. And by the way GA has won the East twice in the last two years b/c SC has gotten screwed in the scheduling ....really don't consider them the"best" in the East as of late
I think all of us fans are just going to have to agree to disagree on this issue. Problem now is the media is catching on to this "imbalance" in the scheduling so I guess you better get used to this topic coming up

So with going with this logic.....You are saying that Tennessee is neck and neck with Alabama? Seeing as how Alabama has only been the best in the west 3 times in the last 10 years
Whose in the west is irrelevant to the discussion. The question is the relative strengths of the teams y'all play from the east in comparison to the other teams in the east.

Do you know what the world relevant means?
You are using, winning a division as a meter to say that Tennessee is just as good as Florida over a 10 year span, but then say, that logic is irrelevant to a team in the west?
And now that I look at the stats, its funny that you stopped at 10 years because if we look at the SEC championship since 1992 when it began.....we see that Florida has played in it 10 times while Tennessee has played in only 5. Why would you leave that glaring stat off??

Answer the question please. I know you've been here a long time and i'm seriously curious if you would be in favor of LSU leaving the conference if you don't get your way.
No way in hell would I want LSU to leave the conference. We would never leave the SEC. We can complain all we want and if something is done thats great, but to leave to conference would be the worst move of all time.

The odds are already incredibly tilted towards the winner of the BAMA-A&M game representing the West before we enter fall camp on schedules alone.

They really only have one undefeated season in a hundred years of football?Damn!
They've got two in seasons where at least 10 games were played - 1908 and 1958.
Edited to correct - they didn't lose a game in 1933 but were tied three times.

LSU is a founding member, going no where. But, LSU is a national brand, it can survive without the SEC. SEC needs LSU more than LSU needs the SEC.

Suits me. I thought we were trading them for aTm last year.

don't deny the facts. you'll regret it.
Who was the first team from the South to defeat a "northern team" above the Mason-Dixon line? Who was the first to win a Rose Bowl?

I think all the gripes about the permanent opponents are stupid. If Ron Zook was still coaching at Florida, would Les still be whining like he is? What if Tennessee comes out kicking arse this year or next?
The argument for doing away with the permanent opponents seems to presuppose that teams like Florida will always be tough and teams like Tennessee will always be easier wins, but that is not always the case. I don't want to see the Tennessee game go away, not because it has been a relatively easy win for Bama lately-if anything I'd like to see UT get better-but because <insert rhetoric about the rivalry and tradition here>.
Yes, LSU's schedule is tough. It was tough last year too when they scheduled West Virginia AND Oregon, which no one in the league office forced them to do. Maybe instead of crying to the folks in Birmingham, Les should quit herping it up in games. If his team is good, what's he so afraid of?

No, and here's why...
We are not Bama. I remember when Bama was caught cheating earlier this century, and their program was in the shitter, a bunch of candy-assed Bama fans started floating the idea of secession from the SEC because - and get this - "It isn't fair, Pawwwwwll!!1!" Yes, Bammers were just as a bad of a bunch of weeping pussies as anyone else.
But also, what Bammers and most everyone else doesn't seem to get just yet, we like wailing and gnashing our teeth. The emotion of indignance is second only to the ecstacy of victory down here. We're wailing and gnashing our teeth - at each other, at that - when we're winning.
When are y'all gonna just...
