And wasn't there more to the Upshaw deal? Like he was trying to keep her from hitting him or something?

Bar fight recently results in simple battery charge while still on probation for carnal knowledge of minor.

He was trying to hold her away from him so she would stop hitting him. He got diversion and the charges were dropped.

Yikes! Is this the only time he's been in trouble while on probation? Sounds like he's got a dose of the dumb gene - he should have known better than to have sex with a 14 year old girl, and to get into a bar fight in the first place.
