It's pretty plausible that MSU didn't bring their A game last night against a fired-up USM squad, and LSU on deck. I think we see a much more focused team in MSU Saturday. I can already hear those goddamned cowbells...

Don't worry about the cowbells. Yes they are annoying as hell but they will be gone after the first time Alabama loses in Starkvegas.

I think State might have been looking ahead to next Saturday and wasn't taking their opponent seriously. It happens.
I have no idea about LSU this year.
Have to base it purely on talent.

Mississippi State struggled most of the game against Southern Miss. Even though this will technically be LSU's first game, I don't think they will have much trouble with them at all. I'm going 35-13 LSU wins.

I think it was pretty evident that the team didn't take this game seriously. Dak was smiling and laughing after a long run when we were down 10-7 in the 1st. The game was never in doubt in our players mind. Hopefully that temperament will change next weekend.

State. USM is improving and was fired up. State has had a chance to work out the kinks. This game will show LSU badly needed that opportunity too.

LSU should win big. MSU looked like one of the worst teams in the SEC just like most people besides state fans thought.
