I think MSU has come a long way, but this is a a really bad matchup at a bad time and place for them... May sound crazy, but a more balanced LSU led by its explosive special teams and defense wins 38-17

again, why do you think LSU will put up 38 on a much superior defense than Vandy? We held a pretty damn good offense in check for the tune of 17 points and nothing in the 2nd half. I think LSU will win but some of these predictions are straight out of fantasy land.

We held that same offense in check to 3 points last year... they got a garbage time TD though as time expired

Reason being is we have almost no clue what to expect from our quarterback, whomever that may be. We could put up 21 points or 48 points and neither would surprise me.

In other words, we have the potential to suck or be pretty damn good and some fans are more optimistic than others.

Cox couldn't hold Newton's jockstrap. he didn't light up things like Peyton Manning but he converted a ton of 3rd downs with his legs and arm. he's hard to sack.

it was todd last year, and it's their Run game we shut down that stopped them in their tracks

Man how the high have fallen.. LSU/MSU on ESPNU on a Saturday night

I guess you never watched any of the Jefferson-Pilot 11:30 AM games that were played because LSU-MSU was almost always played in that time slot. This was because MSU always was that terrible.

LSU defense is stout. Very fast and big up front.

Cox may have been a statue but dammit he was a clutch statue.

Not sure how many we will score but we always beat state. The only holes I have seen in Lsu's defense is a quick slant when we are in mostly prevent mode.

Baker coming back was big for us and chavis even learned how to bring pressure on 3rd down. If state had an experienced pure passer I might be worried. But they don't. Worst case scenario we win by 10.

Two bad offenses, one good defense and its at LSU. 20-7 LSU, something like that.

I don't know that it will be LSU's offense that will lead them to 38, just a gut feeling as a guy that has seen every game between the 2 teams since the early 80s.

Relf>>>JJ by the simple fact that he can run, especially in terms of the option.
