right, the State D shut out AU in the second half...it's not like they're going to roll over for the JJ led machine.

This should def be a low scoring game. The LSU d is legit I know yall dont totally agree but they are scary fast. If we can just get the ball in Shep and co's hands I think we'll do ok.

I really like the LSU dline, thought I'm not sure why Pep plays over Brockers or Downs???

I respect the LSU defense but you guys just played the most inept team in the conference
The most inept team in the conference had 430 yards against Northwestern in wk 1. You remember Northwestern, the team that almost won against Auburn in the bowl game last year?

UNC moved the ball on the LSU D without their top two wideouts and a shitty QB.
You are correct, the defense bit on a couple of double moves and they were on the field for a looong time. and no thanks to an inept offense! But this week the first team defense stayed until the 4th quarter and finished the game!!
Look, I know we as LSU fans are concerned about the offense not playing a complete game...but if you come to Tiger Stadium expecting to see a defense like Auburn then you will be sorely disappointed.

I've been saying this.. Moo State will upset LSU in TS.
Can't wait to see the meltdown.

Northwestern won last year because of their high flying O, not because of some stout D that Vandy beat up on. My eyes fricking hurt after watching their abortion of an offense last night. Caldwell and his staff are way in over their heads.

I'm not, but neither should LSU fans expect an offense like they saw last Thursday. With a long week a lot of those missed assignments you saw will be corrected. Mullen had counted up 25 or something like that the day after, that's ridiculous and not something to happen often under him.

Not so sure that we can consistently move the ball down on MSU but the same holds true for them.
It's just my belief that even on a bad day for our offense that we match up well on defense. In that case, sooner or later our talent will win the game for us (either Shepard or Peterson on special teams). If we have a complete game on offense, then watch out!

We had one of our starting LBs out who came back for the game last night.
Also the majority of what UNC did was after we put in a bunch of backups to get experience. We were trying to get some guys experience and it came back to bite us. We will play the starters most of the time against Miss St.

C'mon...Miles didn't keep in backups after Yates threw that bomb.

HORRIBLE matchup for LSU, it will be a close game and I would not be surprised if Miss St. leaves with a win.

LSU has played 8 quarters
LSU has dominated 1 quarter
I think Mississippi State can hang around, they played Auburn tough and Mullen will have them pumped. Being at home I give LSU the win but it may be an ugly game where neither team does anything on offense.

yeah, it definetly could be tough to watch.

I think Moo St. plays it close for a half or so. Based on Miles comments, I would not be shocked if Lee got a lot of snaps in this game. At the end of the day, the game is at night, and it's the home opener. As much as many of you want the upset to happen, it won't.
LSU 31
Moo St. 21

I just can't see LSU scoring 31 points on an aggressive MSU defense. More than likely we will have to run the ball 70-75% of the time, probably lucky to score in the 17-20 range. Just my opinion

Miles is stringing everyone along with Lee. Postgame vs. State, ''We had the want to play the quarterback, the circumstance just didn't allow it.''

Damn you really are in a bad mood

I know it's hard to think we may actually score 31, but one would also argue that there's no way Moo St. is going to score 27 like some AU posters think.
Regardless of the score -there's no way we lose a home opener at night to a team we're better than. Regardless of how bad our QB situation is right now.
