Nicholls was able to sustain long drives the first half as well.

And to that end, SC had short field positions typically against UK. They didn't *need* long TD drives, but they got three TD drives, anyhow. Tack on a pick 6 (lost offensive possession), and the offense was efficient, but didn't need to be spectacular.
LSU is a different kettle of fish. It'll be a brawl. I *think* SC has a defense that is built to disrupt a team such as LSU. But I don't really trust SC's ability to dictate terms to LSU's defense. We'll need a monster/vintage game from Rocket Sanders to win.

South Carolina is well known for winning a big game in a impressive way just to get thrashed the next week.
Our fans all of a sudden think our team is good while totally ignoring that our offense has sucked and our defense hasn't faced a good offense yet. While I would be happy to eat crow I think reality reaches out and bitch slaps Gamecock Nation this Saturday.

We could beat Alabama then scrape by Vandy with a 1-point win.
