Merriam-Webster defines "defend" as: "to drive danger or attack away from."
LSU failed in that endeavor when it lost to a luke-warm pile of pirate shite in week 1, and cemented the idea that they had no intention of defending a damn thing against Mizzou.
So please LSU fans, stop calling them defending national champions. From what I've seen this week with the faux covid stunt, your players aren't even willing to defend their honor.

Spamming pics of the cfp trophy is a solid comeback to 13 out of the 14 teams in the sec. sadly the one team it doesn’t make sense to troll over championships is the one your (supposed to be) playing this week.

Thanks OrangeEmpire. I'm just stating the obvious. After seeing the pic of that natty trophy in this thread, I will add that nobody can knock the lustre off a greaming trophy faster than LSU. 15-0 to the shitter in a few short months.

I’m cool with 2019 National Champions. That works fine for me. 2019 Undefeated, Perfectly Executed, Heisman Accomplished, SEC Dominant, Best Season Ever National Champions. Call it what you want.
