I am not sure but if Bennect gets outside the pocket and HP40 is chasing he is going no where. Just not sure why you can not see that. Are there other Dawg fans who really think that? You hv the better team this year that is a fact , but dude seriously. Come on.

Oh, Bennett will leave the pocket...and almost certainly have Bowers, Washington, Mcintosh, or another RB, or Jackson, or Rosemy-Jacksaint, or another WR running a hot route in the open flat just in front of him, so the question becomes can Perkins turn on a dime and catch up with those receivers or will he get a late hit on Bennett?

There is a difference I agree with that. Jerry Rice was not really that fast but he did hv football speed. In this case, even with football speed Bennett is no match for Perkins. Perkins is one of those very very rare players like Hershel Walker who I think is one of if not the best college football players I have ever seen. IMO

Perkins has been clocked at a 4.49 40. Bennett has been clocked at 4.58 in the 40.

Does that mean Perkins is faster? Yep. Does that also mean Bennett is fast enough to still get away due to agility and acceleration at times? Yeah.

Scouts are predicting Stetson will go between 4.45 to 4.55 and leaning on the lower end.
I presume 4.58 was camps from 2016?

Edit to add: this was from Brooks Austin just last week.

So Perkins is faster than Bennett but he won't be able to prove it because Bennett has faster acceleration and is able to change directions quicker.
this isn’t what I said at all but okay bud. I can’t believe UGA fans are melting over this.

I thought we were just discussing. I mean, what hell else are we supposed to talk about... Kentucky? GT?

The team has to show up and show out against those teams, but there is not much to discuss for the fans.

There is a wide chasm between actual football discussion and that poster claiming Bennett is an elite athlete the likes of which we haven’t seen since maybe Michael Vick.

There are numerous ways UGA could take Perkins out of the equation or at least limit his effectiveness. These have been discussed and I’m happy to continue those discussions. Bennett simply outrunning Perkins is, however, not one of them.

And I think that is the key. I know he did well in the prior games to Arkansas, but he probably wasn't a key point in the game planning. He, along with Ojulari, almost certainly will be for Georgia.

15. Seems low. That was from an article shared yesterday. I'd say 19.5 conservatively.

Now at 16 per ESPN app. Low, jump on that.

You've said nothing. In this entire thread. Absolutely nothing. Just drivel.

If you have something to say, then say it.
Otherwise, quit wasting my damn time.

Wow. I like that. We have done well against the spread, so I hope we continue that trend.

The wife and i are going to Switzerland for the month of December (seeing the Christmas Markets) so I will miss the game. I'll be checking on the score though.

Thank you for passing it on.

I feel like you actually haven't watched harold perkins play the last 2 weeks

Arkansas' Hornsby was the anchor leg for his High School 4x100 team. That HS happened to turn in the FASTEST TIME IN THE NATION LAST YEAR. And Perkins just walked him down.

That kind of closing speed is on another level for an athlete as big as harold perkins.

Against Ole Miss was named freshman of the week, and after the Alabama game he picked up his first defensive player of the week award. Perkins was also recognized nationally as he was named the Walter Camp Defensive Player of the Week.

He runs away from guys who are faster all of the time.

There are 2 reasons.
1) he accelerates quicker. One of the advantages to being a 190 pound athlete.
2) he knows where he wants to run.
I've seen deer run away from faster predators all of the time. Nothing like angular velocity in the wrong direction to create space.

ok fine, stetson bennett is faster than harold perkins. you win.
