Saban has only lost something like 18 SEC games while at Bama and 4 of them were his 1st year.
I think Auburn is the only other team with 5 victories. Ole Miss has a couple. All the rest are at 1 I think.

So LSU and Auburn are probably the most successful SEC teams by winning percentage v. Saban despite playing every year. Georgia may be close because they won in ‘07 and the 2nd time in ‘21.

I forgot that South Carolina has only played Alabama 3 times in 18 years and they’re 1-2. So that may be the top by winning percentage for an SEC team v. Saban at Alabama.

Here are the numbers:
LSU - 5
Auburn - 5
Georgia - 2
Ole Miss - 2
Texas A&M - 2
MSU - 1
Florida - 1
South Carolina - 1
4 of these, including State’s win, came in 2007. 5 wins against Saban is pretty fricking good.

This is because Saban owned Les. Nobody was more upset to see him go than Saban.

Sometimes I see someone tie a bait on and think to myself “there is no way that will catch anything.” Then they throw it in the water and

so you like living in the past!, well here is one for you. LSU beat Bama last season. Bama had the Heisman QB and two other first round draft picks. and yet they still lost to LSU. just goes to show you that anybody can beat anybody else on any given time.

Probably one of the most head scratching losses I’ve seen under Saban. LSU was incredibly weak on the LOS but Alabama was very ill equipped to do anything about it. Defensive gameplan took their best players out of affecting the game. Offensive line underperformed drastically. Alabama has had games like this but they usually pull away late and get to learn from the win that felt like a loss.
Going for 2pt was huge because the longer that game went on the more likely Alabama’s overall better talent prevailed despite the mistakes by the players and coaches that got them in the predicament.
Sorta like that time LSU called the TE reverse out of goal line in 2010. That play never works in NCAA Football but somehow worked in real life in a big moment.
