No, its how shite gets changed.

Yall getting upset would be Joe fired, would get O fired, and would have yall get an accomplished AD that would hire a coach that is worthy to actually coach your favorite football program.

But that new AD would probably want to hire a coach that isn't "worth" what it takes to snag him so frick it right? Why even play football?

Also you're missing the whole fricking point. Most of us don't care for O. But LSU will continue to be a better football program even with the drunk shrimp boat capn than yalls 75 million dollar man.

I think Aggy is going to make an offer to buy LSU.

It's the sensible solution since they try to buy everything our football program has or wants or even no longer wants and is happy to let go and yet they still can't beat us on the football field.

How you can manage to lose to Miles and Corch O year after year after year is beyond me but somehow they do manage.

It must be awful to have all that money and never be happy.

I'll just sit here eating my po boy with the po folks.

Only Texas & A&M would put such value on coaches who just lost to Navy, SMU & Boston College (35-3).

Michigan is paying MUCH more per year for a Harbaugh whose college coaching resume is NOWHERE near Jimbo.

Auburn is paying almost Jimbo money per year to a coach they wanted to fire last offseason.

Texas and A&M aren't setting the market: the market is setting the market.

That is why is yall knew anything about economics you would know that both Jimbo and Tom are "worth" what they are being paid or someone wouldn't pay them that much.

This whole LSU fan concept where "he should only get paid over $5 million a year if he wins a title at MY program" is completely divorced from reality.

But you know that, and I know this isn't a place for serious conversation. So frick it, I feel better now.

Have a great day.

Going 5-6 and losing to Boston College 35-3, is not cherry picking.

Jimbo completely lost his team & there just happened to be another desperate team willing to break the bank for him.

Stop kidding yourself and believing that A&M beat out FSU for Jimbo in a heated bidding war.

Maybe, maybe not.

But I am correct to point out when Les was fired the argument was that yall needed to keep up with Bama and now yall seem happy just stealing Aggy lunch money.

As I already said, Joe will be the first to get fired.

Until then, we riding with the shrimp boat captain.

Because it's fun watching a clapping seal and a shrimp boat captain beat Aggy year after year after year.

I am not sure what is worse. The fact that LSU is failing or the nonchalant doesn't matter response to it from LSU fans.

It's likely that there's never been a dumber bunch of people.

OP "LSU is in dire financial straits and is falling further behind it's peer institutions".

LSU Fan "What does that have to do with football?"

Dumbasses.

And of course you won't even CONSIDER the fact that maybe he lost his team because he spent most of the previous offseason, and the one before, playing footsie with LSU? That maybe, just maybe, the notion that the coach had a foot out the door had an effect on the team's performance? That maybe, just maybe, Jimbo's by far worst year was an exception but not the rule?

Nah, that would require giving us some credit.

I have never said we did once.

frick, we got him for cheap in my opinion. If yall would have even hinting at firing Coach O and taking one last run at Jimbo he would be the $100 million man right now. We only outbid ourselves.

What I will say, and is true, is that on paper Jimbo is the most successful coach to leave from one program to go to another without being fired or having a year off in modern history.

Does that mean he will be a success? No guarantee, but anyone outside of Baton Rouge would say he has better odds to win a title at A&M than Coach O has at LSU.

I get that, the decision is made so you have to support the guy you have.

But that sort of shite has limits. Or it should have limits.

And I think its a blast that as yall beat Aggy the last few years it has locked yall into one of the worst coaches in SEC history.

When we lose to Bama or when we lost to Texas back in the day we got shite out of it. Yall are a much better dancing partner.

We're not satisfied with beating Aggy, but when the little puppy won't stop biting at your ankles, you're eventually going to spank it.

LSU went deep into the 4th quarter 0-0 with Bama in 2016 and led in every stat line in 2017, besides the final score.

Moral victory? No.

Running a toss-dive into Bama's DL? Definitely not.

The team also hasn't shite their pants post-Bama game like they did every year with Miles.

LSU was a shitty FG kicker away from a 10-win season last year. A&M would swallow for that type of season this year.

We can't help that we have high expectations.

It happens once you've been at the top.

You might be, but the hiring decisions of the people who run LSU football says otherwise.

Nah.

Now if you were going to saw we would swallow for a top five recruiting class and say 10 head to head recruiting wins over Tom I would say yes. Hell we would swallow it, spit it up like a bird, and then swallow it again for that.

I am not wrong about any of it, this just isn't the correct forum for this conversation.

In fact the correct forum doesn't exist, so I am just doing my annual chiding of LSU fans for not caring that their program is going downhill just because they can beat Aggy.

I will see you next year, and every year until we actually win and then I need a new talking point (probably something about Bama).
