Hard to say, but my initial reaction is that this seems to be a good hire.

Titties, you think he's good, since you're in KY (the state & if you're in the jelly, too, fine) and know about Murray?

Honestly, he wasn’t at Murray too long and with COVID and all, wasn’t really on anyone’s radar until this year. He wants to play fast and shoot a lot of 3s and his teams seemed to defend pretty well. Of course, this might have been just adapting to his personnel. I’m sure LSU’s brass did a deeper dive before the hire.

He’s had good success at Murray. And the city of murray doesn’t exactly have much to offer when it comes to college basketball players. Just comes down to whether or not he can recruit at the power 5 level. You don’t know until you know

Your current coach can recruit but that doesn’t seem to help much

Makes sense, could be a solid hire and MurrayState has some interesting potential transfers.

Solid hire honestly. They could have done much worse given the circumstances.

He's done pretty well at murray. Won the OVC 5 of 7 years and went to the tournament 3 of 6 years.

I'm excited.

He'll be on to his next job before LSU is eligible for post season play again.

Someone did a break down earlier, and Murray State has been a feeder school for P5 coaches. McMahon also has the worst record of the last few ...

No doubt the Ag fans will be scrutinizing the LSU very closely.
