LOL @ completely foreign. You cant be this dumb. Yo ureally think our offense is that wildly different than anything he's ever seen or even done himself before?
Outside of just simply moving to a modern offense the biggest reason for the offensive explosion last year was Burrow being ridiculous in it. It's not like it's often a QB will throw for 60 TDs and hit over 75% of his passes. Burrow was built for an offense like that and shined big time. Again, stars just all aligned perfectly last year, nobody thinks the offense will be that good this year, but again I bet some people will be dumb enough to blame Linehan for the "downfall" despite us having 8 new starters on offense even if it's still pretty good.

Duh. Brady stole Peyton's system then passed it off as something he created. Id be pissed too if I were Peyton.

This tells me you know absolutely nothing about Scott Linehan.

His O resembles nothing like Payton's........nothing.

Yeah he's never operated out of shotgun, have short and long passing concepts, and had guys running completely different routes than anything we ever ran last year
Should be the toughest transition for a 25+ year coaching veteran to provide merely some input on passing game from an established great offense conceptually. Not bring in a new offense. Not even coach any positions. Merely provide input in the passing game, a 25+ year high level coaching veteran

He was the OC at Dallas. How did Dallas' O look compared to the Saints? I am not talking numbers. I am talking about how the O was run.
That is as elementary as I could put it to you.

He's not running the offense here. We have an OC. In case you still dont get what his role will be.
1. We have an OC, it's not him
2. We have an offense established already, it's not his exact offense
3. He will provide input in the passing game, that's it
4. He brings 25+ years experience coaching in college and the NFL in passing game concepts, he's probably seen it all, and shouldn't have a hard time understanding a basic modern offense that was installed last year and the simple route concepts we had
If you truly think a guy with that kind of experience cant provide any good input on the passing game (cause it's someone's super unique never before seen offense!), then, well

of an O he doesn't use. It is mind boggling you are too dense to get that.

Yet he was jobless.....and every NFL O looks the same because they all run the same routes.

How much of Brady's offense did Ensminger know before calling the plays in it last year? It's mind boggling you apparently forget that.

For 1 year, you act like that's totally and completely uncommon. The dude has 15 years NFL experience at a high level and 10+ more years in college at a high level, but he's getting shite on because he's merely going to provide input in the passing game only next season

not install a new offense
not actually plays in an offense
not even coach a group of players
Provide, input, in passing game.

E was so valuable LSU gave Brady a $1.5M contract. BTW, E was making $800K last year.
ETA what does that tell you?

That was a dumb contract. Gus got paid because he is the only SEC coach who can consistently go toe-to-toe with saban. He is 3-4 against him. LSU is like 1 of the last 8 or 9? Which one is it?
Posted on 2/11/20 at 11:06 am to MrAUTigers
Wait - so y'all gave a coach $7M for going 3-4 against your rival?
You Auburn folk sure know what you're doing when it comes to coaches!

That was the entire contract, not the annual rate.

So to make a case for your head coach you're gonna compare him to two separate coaching staffs at LSU? Weird.

wrong.
quote:
The university engaged Brady about a raise and an extension during LSU’s bye week, per the report, and LSU is willing to pay Brady NFL coordinator market value of around $1.5 million.
quote:
If Brady were to get around the mentioned $1.5 million mark, he’d make nearly double of what offensive coordinator Steve Ensminger is currently making at $800,000.
quote:
At $1.5 million, Brady would be the highest paid non-offensive (or defensive) coordinator in college football, which would rank him around No. 8 in the nation, according to USA Today’s assistant coaches database from 2018.

Your obsession with a non-coordinator coaching position on LSU’s staff is fricking weird.
