I really hate that Arky and LSU are opening with each other. Some years, this one especially, I wish that they would reseed in Omaha. Objectively the two best teams in the field, they shouldn't be first-round games.

Same thing making hogs play Tennessee. Both kinda deserved to go omaha. Now play LSU. Seems plan is to cut down sec teams. Idk

Well, you had 6 of the top 8 seeds from the SEC, so there was no avoiding pairing them up. As far as seeding 2-4 for each regional, I don't think that much consideration is even given except for just trying to not match up the same conferences in the same regional pod. It's just the way it worked out this year that the only two to make it from the SEC just so happen to be paired up in the first round of games. If 4 or 5 made it from the SEC, it would just about be unavoidable.

They constantly bring in the best players and their fans care more about June trips to Omaha than any fanbase in the country. Things fell off with Mainieri but Johnson is a good coach so them being a constant there will continue.
