The better reference would be the last 8-10 years, which would likely place Bama as number one. There is very little relevance to things that happened prior to 2000 to current programs.

Congrats L6U fans, yall had a nice run, to bad for you it's been on a steady decline ever since you got stuck behind the 50 yardline on 1-9-12.
Since that game L6U isn't top 10, with a record of 45-18. Bama has amassed a staggering 64-7 record over that 5 season time frame.
With current coaching I see no reason for either trend to not continueven, L6U will be a 4 loss team on average while Bama is winning SEC Champs on the reg and NCs ever few years.
But hey, like I said yall had a good run.
