Someone make me feel better about Brossette

He is a local guy. I bet he has good character, leadership and sets a good example in the locker room and practice.
Yet, I have yet to see anything about him that makes me think he is up to being a strong contributor as a RB for a SEC team.
What am I missing in his play and offering?
Be Nice. This is not a slam of him as a person.
This is purely a question relating to what makes anyone think he can be a main horse/contributor as a LSU RB this year.
I am getting an uneasy feel that reminds me of Les Miles playing players he likes, vs the best we have.
I hope Coach O knows there is zero margin for such a move.
I think he does, but his comments mentioning him have me concerned.
Or, again, perhaps my assessment is off?
(ps...Exclude his HS action from your assessment. That is several years ago. Talking about his fit to the offense and/or capability this upcoming year only).

Placing Tuscaloosa anywhere close to Athens is just a terrible assessment. Athens is vastly more preferred.
Great gut feeling bout the 2018 LSU Football season

I hear all the items of concern.
I just feel Burrow, Curry/CEH and the Oline are gonna step up.
And everything else feels really right and strong, possibly dominant.
Just a feeling.
Let's ride.

re: For the people who think orgeron is a savior. Why?
Posted by THECEO on 8/17/18 at 10:25 am
He is not a traditional type of x's and o's HC.
However, if he surrounds himself and maintains strong x's and o's, he is capable of the remainder of the HC tasks, which are:
- Overseeing game planning
-Program management
-Public Communication
- Sideline situational/game flow management and time management
- Recruiting (of players and coaches)
- Inspiration/Motivation of players
That is off the top of head, and not complete, but close enough for general commentary.
A "CEO_-style HC can win a championship.
I've seen no one say he is a savior, and many rightfully express that he is not like Urban and Saban...
But he does have a combination of features which can bring us to a championship. He thinks 3 times faster than Miles on the sideline, and seems to be much less hard-headed. Its gonna have to be good enough, cause true TigeRS ARE ROOTING FOR A CHAMPIONSHIP.

SEC/ESPN spent a large part of a segment yesterday bringing up Canada instead of talking 2018. Other folks (Chris Landry) are stirring up his hire and such. It's out there.

We are were we are.
The media like to create content to fill time in their programming and to create controversy.
Doesn't mean Canada is not a dick, he probably is... But move on.
It's the 2018 season.
If Sullivan and Burrow (or Myles) can take advantage of our stellar group of receivers, and if CEH and/or Curry step up to their potential, it's gonna be a surprise to many how well the team performs.
Move forward.
Screw the Canada baggage.
Coach E has his chance to prove Coach O correct.

Aside from possible-but-not-guaranteed post-season ticket options, season tickets are a risk. Its very easy to pay a LOT less by getting them outside the stadium on game day. Its a buyers market.

Yes. The tone and leverage is set by the D-Line, and that facilitates the other defensive elements to leverage off the clog and pressure of the D-Line. Its the base of the frame upon which SEC and Nat'l Champion-level teams are built. The LB's and DB's are huge benefactors, so "all boats rise" (or fall) based on the DIne quality, depth and rotation.
re: What is your favorite Non-SEC Stadium/Trip

1) Ohio State day + night game. It was a fun pre-game and a wall-of-red in the stadium. They smacked Penn State, so that helped. The assembly at the old basketball arena, aka Skull practice, and the bands entrance into the underbelly of the stadium, plus seeing the dotting of the eye.
2) Penn State - Speaking of Penn State. Saw then beat ND. Great field of tailgating also
3)Oregeon - It is loud, although not LSU loud, and the outside the stadium tailgate was ok, and the Oregon cheerleaders are probably my faves. Saw them beat Purdue to open the 2009 season at Autzen.
4)Notre Dame - The atmosphere is hard to keep off the list. In 2007 (I think) I saw them in a classic luck of the Irish comeback win in OT against Wash State.
5) Clemson - Walking on the campus pre-game with the sea of rabid orange everywhere was special. Saw them play NC State. Stadium was nice, and from high up, I watched water skiing in the adjacent waters.
I could go on, but those are off the top of my head.

The Manning's are LSU haters. They are smart enough to pretend otherwise. Never trust their assessment. Jordan Jefferson is evidence.
LSU QB "type"
Posted by THECEO on 5/30/18 at 2:14 pm
I wish Ryan P would have given himself a full opportunity at LSU, because I think He might have turned out to be the ultimate prototype LSU QB. Sadly, he did not cooperate and serve himself, so we'll never know.
Of course, facts bear out the Mauck and Flynn style. Decent runner, good game manager, adequate arm, decent field vision, etc...
Now, it appears, although we time will tell, that Burrow has very similar style and skills.
So, assuming he wins the job and raises LSU's offense to contender or championship level.
Is there any doubt on the formula LSU recruiting should pursue for the QB position?
There are many great HS's all over the country, so can't they scour the country with ONLY this type of QB in mind, and build an identity of our offense around it?
If not, why not?
