Maybe Malone sees some significant time at RT?
He specifically mentioned Malone this week. My alternative hypothesis is that with Porter back, Pocic starts at RT (where he belongs), with Hawkins moving inside to RG.
Fanaika and Washington aren't getting it done at RG. I think there needs to be a shakeup.

The oline is playing fine. When you are playing teams that are stacking the box due to our run game...of course that is going to put ALOT of pressure on an Oline. Last week it was ground and pound all game against a decent ULM defense. I think our coaches wanted to pressure them as much as possible to get ready for this MSU Dline. We can try to pound the rock this wknd, but odds are that will lead to us needing to throw the ball to pull this game out. Whenever we have done 3 WR sets and spread out the D, AJ has been very consistent when given the time he needs. If the pocket collapses, he is pretty good improvising on his feet as well. Alot of AJ's imcomplete passes have been the short ball...that does need to improve by Sat. But boy oh boy do AJ and Dural have the long ball down. With the speed of Dural I expect him and Aj to have sucess in that area. And guys sure do keep forgetting some very talented WR we have besides Dural. Diarse and Quinn's names will be heard this weekend and you can bookmark me on that. We were extremely conservative last weekend, as we didn't have a reason not to be. I don't expect to see that this weekend.

I honestly think y'all will have around 200 yards on us. Dak will get 100, Robinson probably slightly less.
But you will also pass for like 100.
under 300 yards total offense and not a lot of points.

I can confidently say that none of your DT's would crack the two deep of Eulls/Jones/Jones/James at state, what does your DE situation look like? Obviously you don't have a Preston Smith, but then again, no SEC team has ever had a DE win DL of the week in 3 consecutive weeks. I have to admit I'm rather ignorant on your LB roster as well. I know none would start, but are any of the caliber to make second team at State?
So LSU has not a single player that would play at MSU in the defensive front. Not one. Objectively we recruit better and we develop players better as evidenced by the NFL draft....but in this year, not one player could compete for a job.
A State team that gave up over 100 yards rushing to UAB, 500 plus total yards has 14 better players. LSU is a team that gives up 33% fewer points, fewer yards, and has better athletes but couldn't place one player on the two deep.

DUDE SERIOUSLY???? State hasn't beat LSU since 99 and never had a top 10 recruiting class that anyone can remember..... It will be a good game that you fight hard but lose again.... So ring your cowbell and STFU!!!!

So you are going to put 7 in the box AND play a conservative zone attempting to not get beat deep. Sounds legit.

If we get Godchaux to really figure it out this year, there really isn't a weak spot. LBs make up for a lot of sub par play in the middle.

LSU fans, what are your thoughts on the defensive front issues this year?
Not a stellar group but sufficient. I'm not convinced they can shut down an AU or Hogs but we'll see. The DB play has helped them tremendously.
All jmo.

It is the collection of these guys who couldn't break into anyones 2 deepthat is rated #1 defense in the SEC. LSU keeps getting younger and still top ranked defense....LOL

LOL you haven't played any one worth a shite. I love fans that brag about their week 3 rankings.
