There were quite a few fans that left at halftime (which should not happen) but it was not as many as you bama fans are saying.

Seriously, how in hell do you LEAVE a fricking tight SEC game at halftime. In the home opener no less?
I mean what the hell??? If I was an LSU player, I would say what the frick??
That's exactly what A LOT of LSU fans are asking too. All those Candy A's on the sidelines that left the game because of a little rain should give up their seats permanently and sell em to fans who would appreciate them more. Way too many "fair weather see and be seen" fans in the stadium now.........

I will not take the time to explain to this poster the difference b/w a comma and a period b/c I am too busy for that. But I did want to warn 50% of LSU fanbase (the fair weather fans) that the forecast calls for rain this Saturday. So to those of you who can't handle the elements, you might want to use your tickets to the ULL game for toilet paper. Or maybe you could recycle them. God forbid you were to go to the game and stay in the stadium. You might get wet!!!

i used to try to figure out the formula. i've wondered this a million times. subject topics are almost entirely unimportant i've decided. when folks get to thread-jacking the topic it gets to being 5-10 pages because it's whatever they want to talk about. when 2 people that lack tact clash in the same thread, and if the topic has already derailed... voila!
the only time subject seems to matter is if it seems controversial or hits a fresh soft spot on X fanbase.

Those non-geriatric adult fans who leave have no excuses...and it is slightly embarresing. That being said, I can not fault parents who leave to get their younger children out the rain, or old blue hairs who leave out of fear of illness. Pnuemonia, flu, and school absences may not be a big deal for you 20 and 30 something hardcore fans/drunks/___tards, but it may not be worth the risk for those germ factories we call children and the elderly who are at risk. And have no doubt how many of both groups there are. My family has had the same seats for 20 years, and there are a ton of >12 year old kids in my section. They were gone, the old folks were gone, but my age fans had a poncho and their arse in their seat.

being cold and wet does not give you the cold

That's right!
Pigs do.
EDIT: Cold & wet make at risk populations more susceptible to infection. I thought you were joking, now I realize you are just being a smartass.

If LSU would have been playing Florida, Ole Miss, or Bama Saturday night, the weather would not have been a factor in the attendance.
When LSU went up 23-9 on VANDY, a lot of the people watching the game on closed circuit TVs in the concession areas left.
BTW, LSU outdrew Alabama last year in attendance, (as we have for decades). And as I recall when UAT came to Baton Rouge last year, there wasn't one empty seat until the final horn.
Maybe you should use your UAT diploma for toilet paper, or maybe you could recycle it. God forbid you would be able to display it in your taxicab.
You asked for it, skunk anus.

I can see old people and kids leaving the game. I have no problems with that. They didn't leave but they went in the tunnel.

I know there is zero chance that a spoiled and angry LSU fan like yourself would admit to being wrong, but that is what you are. The score was 13 to 7 at halftime and the rain had stopped. Throughout the 3rd quarter, with no rain and with what appeared on television and has been verified here by honest LSU fans unafraid to admit that pussys like you are terrible for leaving a close game, the announcers were repeatedly talking about how the crowd at TS had abandoned the game. Vanderbilt was in the game until the final 6 minutes when LSU finally went up 23 to 9. Are you going to seriously suggest that the stadium was packed until 6 minutes left in the game? You may not like rainy weather, or you might be afraid of catching pnuemonia, or maybe you are just in fact a stupid drunk a-hole, I don't know, but your fanbase left the stadium and in a close game with an SEC opponent. That's weak.
