That's good. So one for Coach O. stevengtiger, PurpleandGeauld is helping you.

Well, I can tell you that there were LSU fans that thought the Saban and Miles hires were bad.

Les Miles says hello.

You've only seen him coach one game as LSU HC, and LSU completely dominated.

Clearly was offering to compare LSU & Fla.

As he mentioned, O has been the head coach for 1 game and a small amount of time as a HC recruiting. As of right now, only comparison you could do would be the bowl games and recruiting. Both teams won their bowl game and LSU had a better class.

I am in no way saying that O didn't have issues as a head coach elsewhere and no one could deny that. I can say that he is in a much better position than at previous jobs and I think he has an opportunity to do some good things at LSU.

ETA: Would also add that as HC he has made some GREAT hires and was able to keep Aranda as a DC.

It was all part of a long term plan to get Ole South on probation and reward O with the head job at LSU for a job well done.

I bet YOU would, but THEY won't.

So wait, we count his interim gigs when we want to justify the hire, but don't count it when it makes him look bad? Got it.

Also... Yes, Les was handed elite talent. But his first recruiting class was what, 13 players? Because Saban had mailed it in in November, and Les didn't have much time to make up the ground.

I like Coach O and LSU. I was just wanting to see if you were like most LSU fans on here that like to make bold statements then run and hide. You know, because you can't back up those bold statements.

Nothing I said was "bold".

LSU had a better class than FLA and I don't mind comparing LSU & Florida football performance over the last decade. Both teams have had some really good years but all in all, I think LSU would have an edge in that discussion.

I was referring to the original statement you responded to, "Coach O has never won anything". And you replied with better recruiting than Florida or something along those lines. Which Coach O didn't really win anything for doing so. But I applaud you for sticking with it. It's not trophy worthy.

Coach O was at Miami in the heyday under Jimmy Johnson. He's been doing this a long time!

Plus O wasn't beating LSU and Bama for recruits like Freeze did, he unearthed some nice 3 star talent from LA while at Ole Miss, nothing compared to what Freeze did in one year.

LSU owns the state of Louisiana. There are no slimy rivals to worry about. Everyone in that state from high school administrations to judges are on the same page. They are one of the most untouchable schools in the country. Don't worry about them.

I'm not justifying the hire. I'm just supporting the head coach. He's done a good job so far.

Worry less about LSU and more about the fact that UF might be the 4th best team in their own state next season.

LSU fans remind me a lot about a friend of mine who is involved with this sports app called "FireFan."

It's a multi-level marketing scheme disguised as an app. He has not made a dollar off it and continues to sink $$$ (I assume at least $5,000 at this point if you count travel, not to mention time) into it, despite everyone telling he from the beginning that it will fail and it's a scam. But he's so bought into it and brainwashed from them that he doesn't see what's obvious. Particularly all of the bridges that he's burned trying to push the stupid app that's not even his.

That's a cool story, bro.
