We actually have a little bit of experience with hurricanes ourselves. We know the storm will be gone by gametime. It's the aftermath of the storm that's the issue. It is irresponsible that UF doesn't have a viable contingency plan in place to relocate the game. UF should have to forfeit if this game isn't able to be played.

4 inches.
Four. Inches.
25-35 mph winds. I think we'll survive.

You realize there may be no power? Resources may be limited. My goodness they are already canceling flights in and cancelling classes on your campus..
Why risk a cancelled game? Oh that's right, UF can't afford the loss

Yeah they figured it out alright. They're playing in Miami at 8, just as the game was scheduled initially.
My goodness you're an idiot.
At this point USF's noon game is still on as well. The only postponement has been UCF but they were playing on Friday night.

You wouldn't know what it's like to go off to college, obviously.
It's nice to sleep in your own bed, shower in your own shower, and eat home cooked meals.
But keep being a prick. It's obviously all you know how to do. Bitch

Exactly, McElwain and Foley have slowed played this long enough that they will shrug their shoulders and say, "Welp, guess we have to cancel."

New Orleans and the whole state of Louisiana did not know how to handle a hurricane. Florida does.
Considering you are still in school you were what 10 when Katrina hit? Florida hasn't had a land falling hurricane since 05' but apparently you are a hurricane veteran.
How do you handle a hurricanes better than someone else?

You handle it better by having a better infrastructure. The buildings are able to withstand high levels of wind and rain better than New Orleans was when Katrina hit. And by having a city that's built above sea level, as Gainesville is, the city is less susceptible to flooding.

They don't cancel football games

I'm just glad the UF officials are more incompetent than LSU's

All of that will really help with down trees and lack of power for days potentially.

It really has very little to do with buildings and wind. Wind was a non factor. It was the pumps, which is something most of Florida doesn't need or have. The comparison is off base and distracts from the real point of why LSU fans are making a mountain out of mole hill:
Its just a bad rain storm. We eat 4 inches of rain for breakfast every week. And 25-35 mph winds is easily dealt with. These guys are acting like Jupiter's Great Red Spot is about to go in dry without a reach around on Gainesville. Hysteria at it finest.

You're right, because the storm that's going to be centered off the coast of Florida is going to ravage the small college town that's 100 miles inland.

I guess y'all have stronger trees? Better power lines?
