I wouldn't go to these two unless you enjoy the stereotypical southern dumb asses. Copper Top is better than both of those but it does get crowded. It's a good place to hangout with old/young folks. 1831 is next door but it is definitely for the younger crowd. And Brown's is probably the closest thing to a club you'll find but I wouldn't go till late if that's what you're into. But the up stair at Rounder is damn near club scene. The Red Shed isn't that bad but I don't go there that much. And the thing about Gallettes; bring a ton of money for cover. Yeah that's right it's that place. And it's not called the Jupiter anymore, but "The Dixie" (yeah I know) I wouldn't suggest it during football season. That's the place people go for cheap beers in the summer. There is also Horny's but I don't think you want to go there. Now back to Downtown. Around the corner from Catch-22 is a quiet little chill bar called "The Grey Lady." If you're not looking to fall on your face then I suggest going there. It's pretty cool what they have at the top in the loft but I'm not going to give away the surprise. Then there is the Filling Station, yeah just pass it for real. Other than that all the dining listed is fine. If you miss home and are up for oysters then head to Wintzell's. All the Mexican spots are good. El Rincon (sp) on the strip has a Margarita that will strip the paint off your car... try it.
Great additions, I knew I would miss a few. How could I forget The Red Shed and a fish bowl margarita from El Rincon!

Rounders-Tuscaloosa
Here is a youtube video of Rounders...I always have a good time when I go there but there are some other great places also I think are better.

Do you mean a view from your seats or where they are?
Where they are. I'm going to buy off of stubhub or somewhere and want to make sure it is in an LSU section.

Surin?
If it was Surin, I'm pretty surprised. That's been the best Thai food in Birmingham for ages.
Chicken Noodle Bowl FTW.

Walk around the UA campus (Quad, President's Mansion, Sorority Row, The Walk of Champions, Gorgas House, etc. It is truly a beautiful campus with many buildings dating back to pre-cival war)
Only 4, and of those 4, only 3 are large buildings as the Little Roundhouse is tiny.

Are there any really nice "gentlemens clubs" in the area?

Not in tuscaloosa, but there are a couple in Bham... although I wouldn't call them "really nice"

No strip clubs in Tuscaloosa. Try the Furnace in Birmingham.

Can anyone recommend the "LSU bar" in ttown come game day? I went to tn this past weekend and had a great time at Calhouns. Plus it seemed like there were >50% tiger fans in attendance so I was curious if a similar atmosphere existed in tuscaloosa. TIA

I would be willing to bet they will be at the Houndstooth.

My friend's little brother owns this bar. I won't give away the suprise either but a clue as to what's in the loft is related to what the bar is named after. Shouldn't be hard to figure out.

Who are you staying with in Eutaw?

All kidding aside, Eutaw is bad### if you're a deer hunter and you were staying at a hunting camp in the area. The deer hunting in that area (edge of the Black Belt) is amazing. Wake up at the crack of dawn Saturday to get in a morning hunt, shower, and you're only a 30 minute drive from Tuscaloosa.

Thought I would bump this so it is getting a little closer to the game. Like I mentioned, I hope this helps some of you LSU fans that are making the trip.
