Any LSU fan that says that Steele is a terrible DC is a God damn moron, but regardless, he's still definitely not a better DC than Aranda is.

I would say Aranda has a much tougher job than Steele this year. He's caught in the middle, between an incompetent head coach and disgruntled/disillusioned players.

Put it this way if Alabama was in search of a DC and Steele and Aranda were available, who do you think Saban would hire?

Neither.

Steele because he's had him as a DC before and sent him packing. Aranda because it would cost him $1.5 million just to buy out his LSU deal, and I can't see Saban paying those idiots for the privilege of stealing one of their coaches.

Why not?

Considering Saban has hired Steele on his Alabama staff twice, the answer is Steele.

Honestly, I don't think it would be Aranda.

I don't mean this as a negative, but Nick Saban's not going to have a young guy with his own independent ideas, he doesn't want the distraction. He has his scheme, and all he wants is someone competent and willing to immerse into that. Aranda has his own ideas, and the two would run at odds over some issues.

It would be like Tom Osbourne bringing in a spread guy to be the OC at Nebraska, during the 80's. Osbourne's Power I was crushing teams, and you don't mess with the formula.

Steele has been great at auburn but he sucked at LSU. Weird...
Some coaches do that. Must be the HC or just better supporting staff. There isn't much difference in talent.

Congrats. You beat a team that ran it between the tackles every single play last year.

Funny thing is, we are going to beat y'all much much worse this year...,and in your own house too
