you said he lost to a couple of those teams every year

let me refresh your memory

Loses a couple of low level B12 games a year.

That Texas team also finished the season 9th in the country

You're basically making my point ITT, btw. It doesn't matter what coach is discussed, someone will try to rationalize them not being good.

Discussing is one matter; starting endless threads on it is an entirely different one.

Even you can see that difference.

The Stoops to Florida was a done deal until it wasn't. Or Rily to the Dallas Cowboys. OU isn't his dream job but neither is LSU and he has too much momentum to want to walk away from a job he loves. The part of the rumor that is laughable is the bit about OU already trying to hire Luke. Give that some thought and you will realize that is digging yourself into a rabbit hole. I cannot wait to hear who is being interviewed for the Cincy job. Stranger things have not happened.

After what I saw Aranda do to Riley on Sat, I know who I would want between the two, especially with Aranda's experience with the LSU program.

That score doesnt come close to showing how badly Aranda won that matchup.

I'm not saying Aranda wouldn't be a hire I'd like, but smart people also don't make decisions based the outcome of one game. This also isn't a comparison of Aranda to Riley. This is you trying to say Riley wouldn't be a good hire, which is laughable TBH

Don't believe anything you read about LSU's coaching search. Only Woodward knows who the targets are.

Bingo. Said it a couple of times, if you hear rumors of a person, its likely not that person. When you start hearing rumors of someone after LSU's last game, then perk your ears up.

His entire career has been in a conference where he has a talent advantage over every team in the conference and he has never finished with less than 2 losses. He won’t have that talent advantage in the SEC so it will be hard for him to keep up his career winning percentage.

Ummmm…. There’s 3 teams in the SEC that consistently have more talent than everyone else. And Riley’s new employer is one of the 3.

He recruited in the top ten at OU and besides Texas (who is more worried about dildo parades and monkey business than football) hardly any of the other teams recruited in the top 25 consistently.

Hell, every SEC team except for Vandy recruits in the top 25 most years and usually 4-5 teams in the top ten.

He will have better recruiting classes at LSU. Forget that? We’ve always recruited better than them.

Bama fans are used to getting out of the 1st round with ease because of Riley. Can you blame them?

My source has been steadfast that this is happening for the last 3 weeks. You're probably going to hear adamant refusals from the Oklahoma side for the next few weeks while they hire Luke Fickell (that's not 100% though).

Anybody who says Riley wouldn't be a homerun hire is full of shite.

Yep and your team lost to Kansas!

Dude is in a weak-arse conference and winning at an 85% clip.

That would probably translate to a 72% winning rate in the SEC. Go ahead and hire him.
