'm pretty much the same way. I do enjoy pushing back on the trolls some just to have some fun with it and sometimes to see how much I can get people to keep them saying stupid shite. Diddler, Tuscaloosa and texags are good at letting the troll speak for itself instead of trying to carry the threads themselves. That's pretty important too.

I have fun with them sometimes, too. But not to get them to say dumb stuff. That's the whole point of it for them. To say the most outrageous things and see how many people get fired up about it. I used to fall for it every time, too. Now, I typically type a response, and then before I hit enter I stop and reread it. Most of the time I just delete it and I'm fine.

I wasn't confused. I gave you the explanation. If you don't want to accept it, then have at it.

Well the year before we went 15-0 and my point was clearly a little more long term in scope

Wasn't my point clearly longer in scope? There's a whole lot more 5-5 in your history than 15-0.

No I'm sorry, only figures from the last 20 years are acceptable.

No. I understood exactly.

I was only responding to EC because he insinuated the reason a 20 year period was used by whomever posted prior was because it wouldn't look the same if the guy went back further, which was factually incorrect. I don't think there's ever been a time where LSU didn't hold the series lead, albeit it's been fairly close all along.

It appears I was wrong. Albeit there have been so few games played that it really doesn't prove much one way or another.

This appears to be the one time where the L1U kneejerk reaction of "muh last 20 years" isn't actually needed.

You are correct. LSU has always had the lead. In fairness, LSU won the first 7 games in a row, which happened from 1928-1945, or so.

I think my push back came from so many LSU posters (You are not one of those) that assume LSU owns Georgia and commands a huge lead in the series based upon the last 2 games. Honestly, it is understandable that they would think that, though, because the last two games have not been close at all.

It's a reasonable assumption, given how laser-focused most of y'all are on "in the last 20 years."

Aside from the first 7 games (Yes, they do count) the series has been pretty even. Since 1986 or so, i think LSU holds a one game lead. The last two games have been bad, though. 2019 I can understand. Nobody was going to beat them. They had a great team by any metric. I am still upset about the 2018 game, though. We should have beaten them that year, but they came out and dominated us.

It really would be pretty funny to add some tears for when the IARP penalties get announced.
