Still so far away, but the dude is sick. He could be playing college ball and be a nice contributor this year as a 16/17 year old.

Looking forward to a return to challenging UK for conference supremacy. LSU being good in basketball is a must for the SEC as a conference IMO.

What? You've never challenged us for conference supremacy.

The head to head record for the series is 83-24 in favor of Kentucky.

As far as conference supremacy, our record speaks for itself. Yours doesn't...

Kentucky:

Conference tournament champions
1921, 1933, 1937, 1939, 1940, 1942, 1944, 1945, 1946, 1947, 1948, 1949, 1950, 1952, 1984, 1986, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2001, 2003, 2004, 2010, 2011 (Note: There was no SEC tourney from 1953–1978.)

Conference regular season champions
1926, 1932, 1933, 1935, 1937, 1939, 1940, 1942, 1944, 1945, 1946, 1947, 1948, 1949, 1950, 1951, 1952, 1954, 1955, 1957, 1958, 1962, 1964, 1966, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1975, 1977, 1978, 1980, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1986, 1995, 1996, 1998, 2000, 2001, 2003, 2005, 2010, 2012

LSU:

Conference tournament champions
1980

Conference regular season champions
1935, 1953, 1954, 1979, 1981, 1985, 1991, 2000, 2006, 2009

I believe uab will be a tourny team and we stomped them start to finish. I was extremely impressed with our ball movement and shooting in the first half.

The second half we were a bit sluggish but then we slammed the door shut and it was all good. If coleman and martin can both keep hitting open looks it gives us 4 legit shooters. We have great inside presence and long athletes. I think we could be very dangerous in the tourny especially when we clean up the turnovers.

Tim Quartermann will be the truth before he is done. He has great vision and his shot is starting to drop

i could see us going probably as high as a 5. the sec could end up hurting our seeding but i think the conference is slightly better.

Everyone in the SEC is an 'also ran' behind Kentucky in basketball.

An historically LSU has won the second most conference championships (Reg Season, those tournaments are a joke).

So historically LSU has challenged UK more than the other 10-13 members

Thanks

This doesn't matter at all though when the team with the most has more championships than the rest of the league combined.

OK, you compete every once in a while for a championship. You don't challenge for conference superiority.

good point i guess you could include the refs since they didn't notice uk with 6 players on the court which is a technical foul.

Ok. But you said "challenge for conference supremacy".

You do know the definition of supremacy don't you?
