Its bullshite for the other 85 scholarship players that they did their job, 13-0 and conference champions and don't get to play for it all. It is utter bullshite.

The committee should have just stated from the start they were going to use their own subjective criteria this year in place of the historic practice of 4 most deserving. That’s what has left them open to serious credibility questions.

Plenty of undefeated conference champs never got a chance to play for a championship.
When your best two wins are the 5th ranked SEC team in LSU and a Louisville team that lost to Kentucky it's not enough.
Seem reason liberty isn't in, or UCF 2017 etc

An undefeated P5 conference winner should be in no questions asked. Especially over 1 loss teams. This is the whole reason we went from 2 to 4. So they could settle it on the field and not on a computer screen or in a room full of bozos.

There are 5 "power"conferences and 4 spots so no you are just wrong. If the conference champ from all 5 conferences went undefeated someone would still be left out.
Michigan, Washington, Texas, FSU, and UGA could have all easily went undefeated and someone would still be left out.
Every team in the playoffs has a win vs another playoff caliber team or a team in a NY6 bowl. FSU 0-0 against those caliber teams the same as liberty.
Bama 2-1 with wins over UGA and Ole Miss loss to Texas
Washington 2 wins over Oregon
Michigan 2 wins over Ohio State and Penn State
Texas win over Alabama
FSU 0-0

Agreed, but we all know that won't happen. LSU, and by proxy, Saints fans also are not happy unless they have something to complain about.
