LSU vs.OM stats and fun facts

This game was once one of the premier rivalries in all of college football.
My OM friends like to talk about how OM always plays LSU tough and act as if the rivalry is still as strong as it was in the 1960's.
A rivalry is defined as a competition for the same objective or for superiority in the same field.
Let's take a look at the head-to-head stats and a few fun facts to help clarify why this rivalry died many many moons ago.
All-Time record-
102 years - LSU 58 - OM 40 - T-4
75 years - LSU 38 - OM 32 - T-4
50 years - LSU 30 - OM 18 - T-2
25 years - LSU 15 - OM 10
10 years - LSU 7 - OM 3
5 years - LSU 3 - OM 2
If you start in 1894 or 2013 and count forward or backward LSU leads in all of the following periods counting by 5:
5 10 15 20 25 30 35 40 45 50 55 60 65 70 75 80 85 90 95 100.
The only head-to-head win streak I could find for OM, without cherry-picking arbitrary time periods, was the now infamous win that is 1 year old today. I'll list it to be fair to OM:
1 year - Om 27 - LSU 24
I now understand why OM fans have used 27-24 in nearly every retort over the past year with LSU fans.

I still don't believe OM will win the SEC or the NC.
I truly believe the CFB Gods are setting them up for the WAOM moment of the millennium. I know OM fans can sense it also.
After all of the success LSU has had since 2000 under Saban and Miles nothing would make me happier than to have the WOAM moment we all know is coming.

Freeze has Miles's number. He damn near beat him in TS his first year in the SEC with a crapshoot of a team.
It's a rivalry game, whether y'all admit it or not, so anything can happen and I expect it to be tight.

Here's a fun fact for you...
Ole Miss' s defense has allowed 6 touchdowns in 7 games.
The Ole Miss defense has also scored 4 touchdowns on its own.
But yeah LSU probably rolls up about 30 points Saturday.

A real rivalry requires both sides to have the same passion and hate for the other IMO.
All of the examples you provided, outside of Billy Cannons PR, only proved my point.
The hate and passion OM fans have for LSU has never waned, and has only grown with the success LSU has had since 2000.
LSU fans have not been able to keep the passion and hatred on the same level for a team that has been in the SEC cellar for 50 years. Sorry.
