Today.

Hypothetical:

Weird offseason firing of O and money whipping Kiffen to get him in. It would make headlines and be national news. Lots of hype and buzz around the program.

Would LSU’s five year outlook be better or worse than it is today?

I say better.

Any decent hire would create a better outlook at this point.

He turned Tennessee around.
Maybe Tennessee should rehire him.

Not going with the LSU is poor narrative, but wouldn’t it cost a lot to fire O and hire Kiffen?

That requires brains and balls. Current AD possesses neither.

Yeah, and it'd get Alleva fired.

Best case scenario is when Ed wins 7 games this year and is fired in January when his buyout drops, then Alleva is sent out the door with him.

Call Kiff same day.

I caught loads of shite for wanting him the first time around.

He's a great coach, just immature. why the hell not roll the dice with him at this point? I'd rather take a chance at a talented, immature coach than an unproven guy.

frick I'd take anyone who doesn't constantly talk about gumbo at this point

Why didn’t Florida hire him?

My true vision is for O to be fired midseason, and then take Pruitt from Tennessee midseason just like USC did with Kiffen. And more riots in Knoxville. And Phil retires to the speaking circuit for the remaining months of his life.

he did a nice job his first year at Tennessee. In hindsight I'm sure he would have stuck it out at UT instead of a sanctioned USC.

he was the youngest NFL head coach in history until the new rams guy. do you really think the youngest NFL coach in history couldn't win at LSU?

I don't know. O has grown on me. I miss Les. I will say this, however. Kiffen at LSU, running his offense with LSU talent in the same division as Bama, would scare the shite out of me.
