uck joe alleva. i like this every now and then but i want more home games.
Just make the neutral site one of your 4 away games. Still have 7 to 8 home games. It can't be that hard!

We need to change this to a LSU/UT game at Reliant Stadium in Houston!
JMO - Texas has no interest in playing LSU - might help us recruit in Texas
Which is probably why LSU scheduled TCU for a home/away before they got to be as good as they are now

TCU? That seems weird.
I agree that LSU would benefit from a presence in DFW, but an annual game vs TCU, 8hrs from campus is going to get old fast.
Ark/TAMU may or may not keep fan interest from both schools over time, and we have a long history with TAMU. Fayetteville is about 5 hrs from DFW, and Little Rock even closer.
I can see a game between LSU and TCU, but I can't imagine a longterm series there being interesting to either fanbase.

And one of the main reasons our Aggy game works for us is that its the closest road trip game from Fayetteville that we have. A lot of fans travel to that one that wouldn't bother going to Alabama or even Ole Miss.
I'd bet we have just as many if not more alums in DFW than LSU.

Don't know if it's still on, but Arkansas was scheduled to play TCU a few years ago, but before that game came around a home and home deal with Texas came up and we talked TCU into moving to 2013. Don't know is there is still a deal for '13 or not, that was several years ago...

LSU has a lot of fans in Dallas - but for those who didn't read the thread carefully... there doesn't seem to be any truth to this becoming a regular thing
TCU might choose to have their home game at Jerryworld instead of at TCU but so far LSU is having their home game at Baton Rouge

How far is Dallas from BR?
irrelevant really. There are enough LSU fans/alumni in DFW.
Second largest alumni base behind Houston, i believe.
Arkansas' largest Alumni base outside of the state is Dallas followed by Houston or Memphis.

If TCU wants to play their home game in Cowboy stadium that is their call, but we have no intention of taking our home game to Dallas. Thanks, Verge Ausberry Jr. Sr. Associate Athletics Director LSU Athletics
I love how this post just got ignored.

Yeah, but still probably over half the fans that go to the game in JerryWorld drive down from Arkansas. At least.
Its hard for any school to fill 40k seats with just out of state alumni. The first game, sure. But year after year, its more difficult.
TCU isn't an exciting opponent year after year, even if you do have a history with them.

The majority of Razorback fans are from Central Arkansas. Almost 250,000 more people than NWA.
Which is why Dallas, Oxford, MSU, Alabama and LSU are always filled with Hogs Fans.
Little Rock to..
Ole Miss: 185 miles
MSU: 290 miles
Dallas: 317 miles
LSU: 348 miles
Bama: 363 miles
It's the exact reason every hog fan laughed at Rick (our radio whacko) who said we would only bring 15k to the Sugar Bowl during the middle of the week, ha, idiot.
People seem to forget some cities in Arkansas are closer to Oxford and Baton Rouge than Fayetteville, go figure.
