If I was guessing I would say Oxford and Starkville are the lowest.

Baton Rouge and Columbia, SC the highest due to their size ?

I guess I would rate them like this from lowest to highest crime rate.

1. Oxford
2. Starkville
3. Auburn
4. Fayetteville
5. Tuscaloosa
6. Knoxville
7. Athens
8. Lexington
9. Gainesville
10. Nashville
11. Columbia
12. Baton Rouge

Not sure about Columbia or College Station since they are newbs.

Wait. You went through the trouble of posting this, but you didn't actually do the research?

WEAK.

the last few are probably right considering they aren't college towns like everyone else.

The NWA Metropolitan Area is close to 500,000.
4 to 5 cities make this up but there is not a distinguishable break between the cities. All seem like one large city.

This actually wouldn't be a bad thread if you'd researched the crime rates in each city and posted them.

Columbia is home to the GKB's! Just go watch the History Channel's Gangland episode. There was a riot at CA Johnson HS the day the show aired, because all of the gang members went against uniform code and wore their gang colors to class that day.

There is also little to no violent crime there.
