Weak Heisman year…
Oh, Johnny also threw for 800 yards more than Mendoza.

Jacob Rodriguez is the rightful heisman, just as Ndamukong Suh was.

Wow, Manziel outrushing Love is wild.
But I’m rooting for Mendoza. Btw - he said he won’t keep the trophy if he was blessed enough to win.
He said because it belongs in Bloomington - for the school, alumni, and teammates. They endured terrible football for so many years, and it’s a testament to the Cignetti era.

Indiana and Ohio State both have run offenses designed to speed up the game. Their overall snap counts are very low (especially on defense), the idea is to end the game and stay healthy. Since they play so many cupcakes, they are able to do this for half their schedule and get to the playoffs healthy unlike in the SEC
This leaks into stats. Nuss threw 4k+ last year but he also threw the ball 200x more than Mendoza, Mendoza has 7 more TDs than Nuss did.
The heisman seems to be more of a team award than anything else this year. Mendoza is a great player but he just hasnt had pull the wagon by himself. If he didnt have the multiple game winning drives it probably would go to Pavia

True, but never officially lost to them either, on account of LSU vacating those wins.

Is Manziel selling insurance somewhere in the lone star state by now?
