God forbid you put that kind of logic in the mind of a Card fan
Santa Clara is 2-0 in the Sugar Bowl but nobody talks about their football teams today
Teams that are 1-0 in the Sugar Bowl (1 hit wonders if you will)
Maryland = 1 MNC in the 1950's
Kentucky = 1 MNC in the 1950's
Boston College = 1 MNC in the 1940's
Navy = 1 MNC in the 1920's
Louisville = 0 MNC
Utah = 0 MNC
Baylor = 0 MNC
Oklahoma State = 0 MNC
Duke = 0 MNC
Fordham = 0 MNC
Congrats Cards fans you have just matched a treasure trove of historically non elite football teams. Again, I see that UK does not have a great football history but I am at least willing to be honest about their place in football history.
Gophers are the only D I college football team to 3 peat as a MNC but nobody makes a big deal about it because as fast as they rose they fell back. Win you your first MNC first, then brag about how UL is a football superpower but until then remember you are on a conference site that has close to 50 MNC's under their belts. 1 Sugar Bowl win is not a big deal here like it might be in the Big East or ACC. Takes a bit more to impress folks here with that Gator win.

And still no MNC
9-1 Card beat a 7-4 Bama team in the Fiesta
11-1 Card team beat a 11-2 Wake Forrest team in the Orange
10-2 Card team beat a 11-1 Gator team in the Sugar
Alert the media!
Buckeyes and Oklahoma must be quaking in their boots at such a grand achievement.
edit for TAMU catch, thank man.

For the LOVE of....
Look, Louisville is good. Just not "SEC" good. Why didn't the Big Ten or Big Twatever take Louisville? Seems like a better fit.

Aside from the idiotic UK fans bringing up line beards, flat billed caps, refuting Rupp's racist views and "dominating" the football series with UofL, LOL, the ones getting most defensive are the Bama and Gator fans. I wonder why? Could it be 34-7 and 33-23? The way the A&M fans talk, they think they have been in the $EC for 50 years.

1-2 against Alabama
0-1 against Auburn played in 1974, but never beaten sounds so much better doesnt it?
1-2 against Florida
11-14 against Kentucky They will cancel the series after we win again this year to preserve the series lead. 12-8 in the modern era.
0-4 against Mississippi State all played in the 70's
0-1 against Missou in 1981 but never beaten sound so much better
0-5 against Tennessee. Bet they wouldn't want to play us now.
0-3 against Texas A&M
0-2-1 against Vandy all played in the 70's
Hmmm, so UK goes 27 straight years without beating Florida and we wax them in our third try? Same with Alabama. Two of the $EC best teams. 2-4 against the $EC's best. Ill take it.
Couple series records you conveniently forgot to mention.
1-1 against Texas Louisville outscored them 57-40
2-0 against Navy 66-14 LMAOLMAO!! Keep on hiding behind the $EC though.

Why Kentucky will cancel the series like they already tried to do while Petrino was here. Louisville has won 11 (soon to be 12) of 19 games by an average of 17.6 ppg. Yeah I would cancel it too if I were them.

Navy does not hide behind anyone or from anyone. Red, White and Blue are colors that don't run. Fans of Army | Navy | Air Force are fans for more that what they do in sporting events. I knew Card fans were dense but please tell me you are not this stupid to understand this simple concept. What kind of UL fan are you not to know Corso coached at Navy before he took the UL job? Try asking older Card fans about the V-12 at UL and then continue to insult the folks that went through it from your very institution jackass!
Are you really going to troll the guys in your new conference with comments about service academy schools? If so I have some old jarhead friends in your town that would love to meet an internet tough guy like yourself and I feel there will such folks in the ACC when you get there too. Please leave this site and never return if you are that fooking dense.
FWIW - Texas is not in the SEC so I do not understand the other part of your comment?

Give me a freakin break you tool. You act like I badmouthed the Navy or something. Youre going to post our record from the 1970's against the $EC but cant handle the one record that matters most to you? You call me an internet tough guy when I haven't even come close to making a threat like you just did. Looks like I struck the grandaddy of all nerves. 66-14. 2-0. Deal with it.
Posted on 6/13/13 at 10:43 am to GalvoAg
Can we throw out UK or trade them and Arkansas for UofL? We've got the wrong Kentucky team.
Posted on 6/14/13 at 9:26 am to ACCcards
You did badmouth the Navy but you are not man enough to admit it. You never acknowledged Corso's connection with Navy and UL, You did not acknowledge the connection between UL and the V-12 program, and you did not acknowledge the historic presence of the Navy in Louisville. Instead you rehashed your previous taunt like a child who must revert when confronted with a position you can not defend.
You act like quoting Navy scores struck a nerve when it did not. NEWSFLASH, lots of schools beat the service academies and folks who support these schools expect and accept this. With the rise of state schools in the post WW II era nobody expects the Army, Navy, or Air Force to be in the hunt for a national title in college football. What is next, taunting academic schools like Duke, Northwestern, or Vanderbilt for their lack of football success?
If you want to talk smack and at least appear smart at least do like for like.
Military smack between Louisville and the D I schools (Army, Navy, Air Force, TAMU, and VPI)
Academic smack between Louisville and the D I schools (Duke, Northwestern, Vanderbilt, et al) Wik page for the ACC LINK
Sports smack between schools of similar circumstances. Since the Cards have 0 MNC's this should be easy.
Louisville is having an exceptional year in sports and nobody doubts this. They will probably do well next year in the the CUSA level AAC. However, be prepared to eat some crow when 2014 rolls around and the Cards have to start competing in the lowest level of the Big 5 conferences. Not saying UL will not at least be a mid level ACC school but the odds are not in your favor that you will be a conference leader in any sport. Schools ahead of the Cards in the 3 major sports.
Football - 2014 ACC schools ranked by MNC's
(11) Notre Dame - although an IND the Irish can take the ACC bowl bid (Orange only goes to a ACC team if ranked #1 or #2 in the polls)
(9) Pittsburgh - granted the last was in 1976 but that is still 1 more than the Cards
(5) Miami - none since the ACC went to 12
(4) Georgia Tech - granted 3 of those were when the Yellow Jackets were in the SEC
(2) Florida State - none since the ACC went to 12
(1) Boston College - none since BC joined the ACC
(1) Clemson - none since the ACC went to 12
(1) Syracuse - 1959 was a long time ago
(did not list the MD NC from the 50's as they are B1G bound)
FYI, these are the future ACC bowls -
Chick-fil-A / Russell Athletic / Sun / Belk / Music City / Independence / Military / Kraft Fight Hunger - None are BCS games
Basketball
3 NC's will put you near the top of the pack but the ACC has more banners than the conference you are leaving. UNC and Duke are still ahead of you and NC State is just 1 banner behind you.
Baseball - 2014 ACC ranked by CWS appearances
(23) Miami - they also have 4 titles
(21) Florida State
(12) Clemson
(10) North Carolina
(4) Boston College - none in the ACC
(3) Georgia Tech
(3) Duke
(several teams are tied with 2 - NC ST, ND, UVA, and WF - but Wake has a title in theirs)
Viewed another way the following Capitol One points will disappear or diminish when the Cards go to the ACC
Men's Soccer - kiss those points goodbye (15 NCAA titles from 6 schools)
Men's Basketball - probable future reductions
Women's Basketball - could hold but probable reductions
Men's Baseball - kiss those points goodbye after you leave Big East baseball
