Playing $EC teams is far easier than the Big East.

ACCCards I'm surprised you had 30k at the Sugar Bowl. How did all of your fans get their ankle bracelets off? Also its kind of amazing so many could post bail and still be able to afford the tickets.

Simple: No.
Would do nothing for SEC Network as it leaves our footprint unchanged. So we'd probably make less per team with them in the conference. Would do less than nothing for the academic side of things, for those who care.

Hey friends!! It's your favorite poster back with the TV ratings for Louisville Vandy BASEBALL. Keep in mind this is BASEBALL. Our 2-1 win over vandy drew a 6.1 overnight and 11 share for ESPN. Compare and contrast that to the NBA finals that drew a 6.3 and 10 share
. The baseball game peaked at 8.8 and 15 share in the final inning, while the NBA finals peaked at 8.3 and 12 share in the second half. Hmmm strange. I just love educating the uneducated. Keep on tuning in and believing we don't bring anything for TV. I'll just keep throwing the numbers up in your face. Have a great day all!! Be sure to tune in when we send Indiana home and advance to the semis!

Lousville is non-flagship, city school in an existing SEC footprint. So other than a nice run, what is the SEC missing out on exactly?

I really hope we run into your baseball team, we will destroy all your little dreams..

Man a lot of you are hung up on this "flagship" school crap. Who cares? The conferences are there for athletics and Louisville holds it's own thank you very much. Btw this post was not created by a Louisville fan. Personally I think we fit much better in the ACC and happier to be there than in the SEC who only cares about football and to a lesser extent baseball. The ACC is more "well rounded".

Hey Sparky, check out how many flagships are in the B1G, PAC, and SEC. That is not just coincidence and has much to do with long term economic values and abilities to produce lots of living alumni.
PS, are any of you going to Omaha? Since you are big fans and all. CAF has already sent out the email.

Not me unfortunately. Working at a hospital and already have taken off for the Sugar Bowl and the Final Four....I've pretty much exhausted my vacation time. But trust you/me we will have a strong representation there from Card Nation.

The SEC cares. The only schools in the SEC that aren't flagship institutions are Auburn, Vandy, Texas A&M, and Mississippi State... and all of them, with the exception of TAMU, were founding members.
TAMU was added for the Texas market. Louisville doesn't add a new market, nor is it a flagship institution.

Sure you will. With our record against the $EC in ALL sports, we would love nothing more. Hell I hope we get Mississippi State in the semi's and LSU in the finals. Its a guaranteed National Championship.
