Common knowledge for anybody that's lived in Florida.

But it's hilarious every single time seen in person....the belly-draggers scared off by a harmless sea cow...

We definitely lead the SEC in "reality" tv shows.

I know this thread is just full of stupid, but our "mascot" the fighting tigers has nothing to do with the jungle cat.

Yep, in the midst of all this bullshite let us not forget the feared Confederate special forces unit that operated out of the area between Alex and Baton Rouge during the war of northern aggression.

The Fightin' Tigers

They were some bad motherfrickers, even rumored to have eaten some of the yanks they killed in battle, but that's unlikely...the cannibalism part anyways...

Duck Dynasty was the second most watched show in the country opening week of college football season.

Michigan/Notre Dame beat em' out but only because stupid yanks cared about that silly game...

How many wild tigers roam our state?

There were some supposed tiger sightings in the woods around Fort Polk about 8 or 10 years ago, IIRC. The army put together a search party, but I don't think they ever found anything.

Taking time to count alligators shows how much your life sucks. Congrats on not having sex I guess.

Yep. Counted them one by one, pointing at them as I went along...

No name changes allowed

You've been around long enough to know that. LSU made their bed by picking an unoriginal mascot. Now lie in it.

Most people don't know the real meaning behind our mascot's name "the fighting tigers" it's not really the animal.

I think they call boats "pirogues" in Louisiana. It's French for "boat".

They just call them "boats" in Florida. They must like that better than the Spanish word for "boat".

No a pirogue is a special type of boat very small like a canoe but with a flat bottom.

I'll admit it: I have no idea what the meaning behind the name of LSU's mascot is.

Nor do I have any real desire to.
