We may not have the loudest stadium, but we have fun.

West side of the stadium should always stay as is. They shouldn't ever close it in.

Crank that

Where is the measurement taken?

Is this like those global warming weather stations installed out in the middle of an asphalt parking lot?

I would not have guessed that UW would make the list.

Have you been living under a rock? They never shut up about how they have the loudest stadium

Their stadium design plays a huge roll. Something about the way the roof overhangs and funnels sound to the field

Auburn measured 131 decibels during 2010 lsu game in Jordan Hare but not sure why that doesn’t count.

Neyland is the loudest, so the list got that right.

1994 Alabama at Tennessee

3-3 Vols weren't hyped up playing against Bama?

quote:

1999 Auburn at Tennessee

They didn't get hyped in a 24-0 shutout win? Regardless...there is more at the bottom.

quote:

2004 Auburn at Tennessee

Auburn was up 31-3 at halftime, and UT fans weren't loud?

quote:

2009 Auburn at Tennessee

That one actually seemed pretty loud at the end for a 7:45 kickoff game.

2013 Western Kentucky at Tennessee

Butch Jones first season...there were 86,000 fans in a stadium that seats over 100,000. Also, UT went up 31-3 early in the 2nd quarter So, I guess it wasn't very loud that game.

How loud was Jordan Hare in 2022 when 4-6 Auburn was hosting Western Kentucky, with 81,000 fans knowing they had no shot at a winning season?

Sure, it should be loud all of the time...but situationally it will be extremely loud. Only one of the games you mentioned would be a situation that you would expect to stay loud...even with the late kickoff.

It also matters where you are sitting and where they are measuring. It would be great if they standardized where they would monitor the stadiums and do octave band analysis while the are at it.

“There are a lot of people I've told over time that this is the loudest stadium I have ever played in. It is on full tilt tonight. You are getting a clear explanation of why this place is deafening." ~ Cole Cubelic

Cole Cubelic played for Auburn from 1996 - 2001. He said Neyland Stadium is the loudest he has ever played in. The only time he played there was the 1999 game that you said wasn't very loud. Maybe it is different on the field.

Agreed, well when doing okay. Say what you will but it alot harder for most fans not obessed(like us) to scream when the game is out of reach for rither side..but big games..most make noise when on defense.

But to seriously say USCe has the 2nd loudest stadium in the SEC is just absoletly insane, beyond insanity,

Seen UF play at LSU and Tenn..Tenn is not even close to how the LSU crowd makes noise. Not remotely close.
