So, why would you throw if you can get 5 yards every time you run the ball?
SC has been giving up an average of 2.8 ypc to much better offenses than A&M. You might be effective running the ball, but don't expect to get 5 yards per rush vs SC.
I posted it in jest in another thread, but if A&M can't throw, they seriously risk becoming one dimensional vs SC. The strength of SC's defense is their front 7.

I agree. Somewhat. Yea this formula could force A&M to throw and it remains to be seen if that will work. It might. However, even if this happens it doesn’t mean SCs offense will score against A&M. See the Arkansas game. A&M struggled to throw and they shut down our run at times. But the defense carried the day and ultimately still won.
There are two sides of the ball. Ask LSU about how easy it is to score on a short field.

I've had this one circled as a loss for A&M for weeks. It is the Aggie way to drop a game which is inexplicable.

Tamu will be SCUs Super Bowl and WB Stadium will be jacked.

As good a trap game you can have

Georgia never lost to us, they were just “our Super Bowl”

For the 10th time, this is not a Trap game. It's a letdown game. There's a difference.
As everyone knows it's hard to get "up" for every game, every week. After the emotional win last week at home over a historic rival, it will be hard for A&M to bring the same level of energy this week on the road.
Will it make a difference? Who knows, but there's been a lot of positive buzz around the aggies all week. I'm not sure that's a favorable situation for them going into a hostile situation.

Nice alliteration my dude

That's a rival, this is a chance for your fans to let out frustration and have a meaningful homegame.
Let's just see if the zebras will let you guys play.

To add fuel to the fire, this is the first game in Willy B in a month. The students will be ready.

So, you think South Carolina will win?
Posted on 10/30/24 at 8:48 am to Hugh McElroy
Nah. aggy wins with Reed.

Reed is just a faster Robbie Ashford clone. Why would we have trouble stopping him?

This is typical aTm all hat/no cattle response. You're playing a quality opponent *in their house.*
If aggy loses on Saturday, it's going to be because SC beat them. The explanation would be that SC's defense shut down aTm, and generated turnovers necessary to win.
This SC team isn't great. But it's good enough to beat every team on their schedule.
Conversely, if SC loses, it's going to be because aTm forced the offense to play outside itself, and crested turnovers. It won't be "an inexplicable loss."

Apparently, Shane Beamer is 6-1 in night games.. not sure if that is all at SC or not.. plus they had a bye week.. They likely prepared for Weigman last week.. and they likely can prepare for Reed this week..
Should I attend this game? It's about a 3 hour drive and we are off this week.

Objectively speaking, they've played each other every year for a decade.
A&M is 9-1 in the series with teams and coaches that weren't as good as this edition. It's not like A&M and Elko dont know what they're walking into @ WB Sat night.
