A bunch of them will get stuck with nowhere to go. They will be forgotten like tulane and smu in a decade or so. I wonder how much tcu and baylor still owe on their new stadiums. They must be losing it right now. Dang.

wow, I didn't even think about this. What a shite show for the B12.

That's over now that Boren is no longer University President. Has nothing to do with the SEC.

Not a geographic fit and brings little value to the conference. No athletic prowess, middle of the pack academics, and no historic ties with any other SEC member

So basically Mississippi State.

Ol' Miss is the real state school for Mississippi. You have no athletic prowess, do you even have any academic achievements?

Uh No. Mizzou has St Louis and Kansas City.

OK State is a good school but adds nothing TV marketwise.

You want a smaller check?

Even though iowa state is having a good 2 years Oklahoma State is easily the best football and overall sports program left in the big12.

Hopefully the ACC picks them up. If they try to add a bunch Houston's, Cincinnati's and Louisville's to carry the conference it's just going be sad.

I imagine a majority of them are not intelligent enough to understand the revenue we bring to the table.

You have clearly never been to Stillwater. Five minutes in that town or on that campus and you'd be begging us to come back.

K State is also a good program but does not move the needle much overall. Iowa State in the same boat. Smaller population states with two big schools with one being the dominant one OU, KU and IU. Sucks for these programs and their fans

Go check out any Big Ten school's message boards, they are trying to figure out how to get Mizzou to come to the Big Ten. I wonder why they want to try to target Mizzou, who is in the SEC and will reject an offer, instead of Oklahoma State and the other Big Eight rejects, who would do anything for an invite?

Or why did the SEC invite Mizzou back in 2011 when it could have invited just about any other Big 12 school?

No, it's definitely you, a Mississippi State fan who has probably never left your home county who knows best.

The Big12 will bring in BYU, Houston and two other school (Louisiana, Memphis, Central Florida, Cincinnati, Boise State). They'll survive as the premier non-P5.

People act like Kansas is an obvious B10 pickup but all they play is basketball. Their football team loses to FCS teams semi-routinely. Why add that? They are basically UConn. Plus Kansas has crap population. B10 already brought in 1 low population state because they play FOOTBALL.
