Just saw it posted in the Missouri/Iowa game the ACC is 1-9 in bowl games.

I went and looked, Syracuse has their only bowl win. Louisville, Duke and Va.Tech left to play.

Talk about emphasizing your conference didn’t deserve one spot, much less 2.

But none of them lost to Vandy or Oklahoma

None of them played Vandy or Oklahoma. If they had, it would have helped their SOS and been one of their best wins.

That’s a pretty sad resume when teams that others are using as “gotchas” would be some of the best teams you played all year.

This would require unanimous approval by all stake holders to change in 2025 but conference commissioners “open to getting (the seeding) right.

Can anyone explain why the Big 12, ACC, or G5 would agree to the change?

Because the SEC and B10 will say go have your own playoff, we will do one with all the best teams

And if they are not in the top 12 there is no reason whatsoever to include them in anything.

I’ve not read this thread but screw all you with your hypothetical bullshite. This team would have won this and this team would have that with this schedule. No they would not. Same people would say Bama beats Vandy and Oklahoma.

Texas may have gone undefeated with Bama’s schedule and Bama may have lost eight games with Texas’ schedule. But it doesn’t matter because it’s all make believe bullshite.

Truth. The sad part of all of this is that the committee got it right this year. 12 is simply too large of a number. 8 team playoff at the most.

A couple things I don’t like about removing the conference championship auto bid bye

1- I like that it emphasizes winning the CCG
2- Norte dame would be eligible for a bye when they sit home championship weekend.

This entire thing is simple, if you’re from a good conference you can have a ok schedule and win all but 2 games and be in. Have an even worse schedule and lose 1 game and be in. So basically be in the SEC, Big10, ACC, and whoever else is left and only lose 2 games with a decent schedule or 1 with a total shite schedule.

Or use the BCS and be done with it. Top 4 get a bye doesn’t matter who they are.
