I'll have to start a Help Board thread asking what it was they didnt like about it? Not sure if they want the "_____ can't lose" to stop, or the entire threads where I say something positive but lame about the team.

OP, in Texas opinion you are all a bunch of ill-educated inbreds.
They want nothing to do with being in the SEC.
If they go anywhere it would be to PAC 12.

I see the Irish in the ACC but not texas, too far and UNC will never give up the alpha position. They are the texas of the ACC.

B1G wants them but after how they treated Nebraska, not sure that is good for texas. They would wither on the vine playing the western B1G schools and it would allow Michigan and Ohio State footholds in TX for recruiting.
PAC makes no sense with TAMU in the SEC. I can see the PAC and B12 shrinking and using each other the way the ACC and SEC do with cross conference fixed and rotating games.

UT likes to think they have B1G and PAC academic credentials - and they are solid on that score - but the B1G and PAC will never treat them as equals. B1G academic snobbery is second to none. PAC is split but the ones who are academic powerhouses look down on those not from the west coast.
If the SEC never invites, texas saying no is a way to save face from this rejection. SEC has academic schools and adding 2 AAU's while the B12 lost 4 AAU's took a lot of wind out of that sail. Baylor, Tech, and the OK schools are never getting AAU and TCU + WVU dropped the academic cred of the conference.
SEC will turn lemons to lemonade long before taking rotting fruit to add to the SEC bushel.

Texas is an auto take for every conference, not my words.. but I agree.
The only real issue Texas & Nebraska battled on that anyone would care about was partial qualifiers, B10 would hold Nebraska in poor light if anything. Fans have a very different opinion on Texas' impact on the B12 or SWC for that matter, than those in power.

It's funny how your admin and fan base make fun/look down upon sec academics but y'all are by far the worst p5 conference academically. Hell yall wouldnt even be the best public school academically in the sec

I liked the B12, wish the Hogs had taken Baylors place but that is the past.
Biggest mistake was letting the B1G and the PAC whisper in the ears of Nebraska and Colorado.
Nebraska got ganked for 50 million and slow death in the B1G. Not the best negotiators but proof that no matter who the B1G adds, they really just want to pimp Ohio State and Michigan.
