I don't think Aggies realize that even with that horrible NC showing LSU is still a millennium ahead of A&M program wise.

Prior to the arrival of Nick Saban, A&M and LSU are virtually identical historically.

So we're roughly a decade behind.

This thread isn't about A&M or Arkansas is it?

We were busy being the most dominant baseball program of the 90s, football was put on the back burner..do we really want to go there?

Having a system that allows someone to be a national champion that couldn't win their own division.

Should have been fixed in 2001. Perhaps 2001 Miami would have received a more challenging opponent.

Didn't tOSU and UM want a rematch in 2006?

When was the last time you saw an aggy playing for a CWS title? And before you come up with a hilarious aggy deflection, we're talking about the championship series

2012, and college baseball is completely irrelevant to this thread.

To be fair that reality was similar for LSU in 2000.

Didn't Okie State have two coaches get killed the week of that game? I honestly don't remember exactly, but something to that effect.

Two women's basketball coaches died in a plane crash. Oklahoma State scored a touchdown a few minutes after halftime to make the score 24-7. How did they build a 17 point lead if they were so incredibly unfocused and grieved? Their defense yielded 568 yards, and the team had 5 turnovers. Iowa State had 3 turnovers. Go look at Oklahoma State's rankings in the major defensive categories. The Big 12 is a quarterback-happy, no defense league.

David, LSU lost the 1960 Sugar Bowl in even more embarrassing fashion. Their program was no stranger to the score 21-0.

Well as soon as A&M can get a coach like saban to bring them back to their elite days (1920's/1930s) than they're really not like LSU at all

Why are other fans in a thread answering questions that aren't applicable to them? When's the last time any of you worthless fricks went undefeated and won the conference championship while beating all but one of the BCS Bowl Game Winners from that same year during the regular season?

Any of you who can step forward and raise your hand, feel free to answer. Otherwise, TAMU, pick those Tiger pubes out of your teeth...you may now leave.

LSU or Alabama is not embarrassed by their teams that year.

I think most every team in this conference wants a 13-0 SEC Championship record, or a Championship season.

It's a compliment to each team you'd think one would be embarrassed by either. It's a season most college teams dream about.

Now fat Bert is another thing entirely.
