Look into your crystal ball. What rule will the NCAA implement next year to remedy this?

I’m saying they will implement a rule that you can declare for the draft, get your draft grade, and even go to the combine and pro day. If you pull your name out of the draft before the draft takes place you are eligible for your 5th year. You can go back to your original school or hit the portal. Maybe a step further. As long as you don’t attend a training camp you are still eligible.

They have no teeth to implement anything.

This is true. I think if they did this it would be fair to all parties involved.

They won’t. We will just buy more NFL players than you do. That fixes it.

I think just the opposite happens - I think we see no roster limitations first so those who declare have a landing spot and beyond that no academic requirements and finally no eligibility limits.
The NCAA's only function is that of a promoter of a basketball tournament not unlike "The Eastside - Westside" game with Avon Barksdale and Proposition Joe playing the roll of the NCAA. They have NO authority to impose ANYTHING....the courts have been clear and have done so with little ambiguity. The federal government is the ONLY entity, outside of school administrations, with the authority to do anything and what they can do is very limited. The schools aren't going to do squat because the revenue is too great. At this point its only about rooting for laundry as Jerry Seinfeld said....
