Appreciate the sentiment. But, between the $ being spent to retain rosters and Cignetti's formula, patience is a luxury few can afford.

from the last game of the 2020 regular season through the first game of 2026, a span of just 67 games, AU will have had 7 different men serve as HC:

2020 vs MSU: Malzahn
2020 Citrus Bowl: Steele
2021-22: Harsin
2022: Williams
2023-25: Freezus
2025: Durkin
2026: Golesh

If they were given the title “interim head coach” and coached multiple regular season games they were a coach.

Cadillac Williams went 2-2.

Frank Wilson went 2-2 in the regular season as well before losing to Houston in the Forgotten Bowl.
