We don’t make it on a technicality. Although we have been ranked since 2012, Big Ten teams were not included in the first few polls of COVID year because we didn’t start playing until 2-3 weeks after most others.

Not a perfect stat but not shite. Being a blue blood might get you ranked in the preseason poll but probably not every poll all season long.
Perhaps a better stat is longest streak of seasons ranked in the final poll. Alabama currently has a 17 year streak of being ranked in the final AP poll. The longest such streak in the history of Missouri’s program is 2 seasons.
