He definitely ran from the SEC by going to USC. He wants to be the king of a shite conference with no competition where he can take an average team to a 10-2 or 11-1 regular season, then proceed to get fricking hammered in the playoff by 17 touchdowns. Rinse repeat.
I personally don’t think he has the drive or obsession of extremely successful coaches, he’s just an elite offensive mind who knows how to leverage that into way more money than he’s worth

Pretty sure they didn’t. Pretty sure anyone who knows college football understood completely why Kelly never won a National Championship at ND. When you have high enrollment standards like ND does, it’s hard to get the best players.

He’s a pussy, he can’t coach defense, he doesn’t do a good job at hiring assistant coaches, and he’ll never win the big one, but you lose all credibility when you say that a guy who constantly has great looking offenses ranked in the top 10 is “nothing special”

Kelly’s problem was never coaching, but rather personnel. I said from the beginning that he would do well. LSU just needed an adult in charge of the program.
