Not so much the targeting…but it was now or never as to beating Oregon…
LR is permanently second tier in Big 10 or worse, that is not what USC paid for…..that is why he is on hot seat…..
He hired a good DC in Patterson but it will take a year to install a real defense,………

And yet OU fans would crawl over broken glass to have him be their coach, especially with BV having arguably the worst contract in the country.

Thank you for saying that; most people are afraid to oppose the groupthink. Was it a dirty hit, yes. Do dirty hits happen virtually every game, yes. Football players are in a fight or flight response half the game, adrenaline pumping. They make split second bad decisions all the time, including illegal forms of contact that can potentially cause serious injury. If it wasn't penalized, they'd dance over the injured opponents laying on the field every game too. If fans didn't like the wanton violence, they wouldn't watch the game.
